Well I had 4 injectors go bad so had 8 new put in. Cost me 400 bucks labor. Found a guy here in maryville tn that works on 6.0s all day. Dang truck is all most rebuilt.
there is a temp sensor in the exhaust system that is out of range. I had the same problem on my 08. I was driving to work no problems and the truck just shut down out of the blue. It sat for 3 hours and would start up and shut down with in minutes.
Start with check your ficm relay, then have the ficm checked. You may have a messed up ficm with low voltage with the batteries being pulled down by cranking the motor. Next time you need to crank on the motor pull the ficm relay and crank it for a bit then reinstall the relay. then see if it...
Well I had to do the injector replacement thing. Had 4 going in and out, so I replaced all of them. Found a place that had a really good deal. www.AccurateDiesel.com and my new best friend John in maryville TN for doing the work. 6.0 and 6.4 are all he works on.
The old 6.0 still running great 16 hwy 13 city, 18K camper in tow 14 hwy.
My sister has a new 2015 truck and they only get 14 hwy and 13 city, not towing. I don't under stand why. Other then they don't know how to drive it...LOL
Don't know if this works??
You could go with company cell phones that the GPS is locked on. Maybe a lot cheaper then the fleet system. The fleet system the company we used cost about 225 per month per truck. Im shore there cheaper now, other thing is Do you have laptops in your trucks IF so your can GPS them and not tell.
I have a 6.0 130000 miles on it too Bone stock still runs great. I have put on a few new parts like ficm with a 40hp update, new oil cooler, and a turbo. Just under 6k in repair in the last year but this is normal go wrong parts.
