    since the trans is out, you should be able to jack the engine anyway you want to see if they lift off the frame.

    gassers have a different bellhousing bolt pattern. You can convert to a 4r100 if you get a good enough deal on it. If you feel the internals are good, why nut just weld it and go?

    i lost 2 front u joins in a matter of 8 months and drove on them (doh). Possibly be the problem, but i dont see how tho. I would think it would take out the tailshaft bushings. Or crack the tailhousing/transfercase.

    cone shaped carbide burr in the 90* air grinder. Took a half hour or so. $50 have it tigged. I'll grab some pics when i go out to the garage. JB weld aint gonna do ****.

    i had a crack from the bottom of my starter to the top of the trans. Noticed it when i pulled it out to upgrade the internals. It was a rebuild Jasper unit. No idea how it cracked or if it was cracked when they put it in years ago for the other owner. I ground out the crack and had it welded.

    yeah i checked my IDM earlier, its not burned or anything. Crank position sensor was my next thing to check. Its the only thing else i could think of. That would cause the no tach signal and no fuel.

    Cleaned checked and tested the IPR has voltage and pulls in when key is on. Checked all fuses 10 times. Truck will not start, only with a small shot of ether.
