    Help Needed Mysterious clunking noise

the stub axle is probably badly worn and there is also a good chance the wheel bearing is shot. There is a needle bearing inside the unit bearing that supports the stub axle that probably got wasted. If you end up replacing the bearing with a stock type replacement, stay with a ford or...

Help Needed Need help with a fuel leak on my '02 7.3L!!!!!

shoot..Sorry for the delay man! I haven't been online for a few days. Anyway, I paid about 45-50 for the whole valve (from the dealer). I think your numbers are about right. I believe you can change just the o-rings for 15-20 bucks. But I just thought it might be cheap insurance to change...

Help Needed Need help with a fuel leak on my '02 7.3L!!!!!

I had the same problem, and ended up changing the whole valve. I figured that a plastic valve that sees heat from the engine, that deals with fuel should probably get changed once in a while. But that is just my opinion. I'm sure others may view it differently. Greg

Read This.... What do you think...

I'm with DaveBen on this one. The shop I used to work at saw a few trucks that would stall after warming up due to the regular oil foaming up in the hpop oil system. I'm staying with my 15w-40 thank-you.

Big joe - Well said, about aluminum pistons. I'm a welder and when I get the metal hot it melts, so to speak. So I guess I think in laymens terms.. haha The pistons and rings do disipate heat pretty well, and are constantly quenched by incoming air/fuel mixtures which does allow them to...

    front end issues

What you describe is called bump steer. Since you had a drop trackbar bracket installed, then you will need to install a drop pitman on the steering gear. The goal here is to have the drag link (short shaft from steering gear to the tie rod) and the track bar at roughly the same angle. This...

    Question Brake spongey

sounds like you probably have it nailed down. Be sure to get fresh fluid in the system since you got new calipers. May not be a bad idea to pull the pins out before you mount the calipers and make sure they have some lube on em'.

    Question Brake spongey

Rio, check the pins for sure. Clean them and the holes the best you can and reassemble with a little grease or anti sieze. One telltale sign that they are problematic is if the pads are not wearing evenly (on the same caliper). Also, you can get an internal leak in the brake master where...
