    Need opinions on this setup...

Yeah, the hose on the MAP is easy to miss. Glad to hear that is all it was. So did you do the head stud replacement? If so, did you pull the cab? That seems like a chore!

    Need opinions on this setup...

The only thing the tune will accomplish with respect to the EGR delete is to prevent the truck from throwing a code and MIL. I did the cooler delete but left the EGR in place and hooked up, so the only code I get occasionally is the P401 for low flow. (I don't have tuner, so I just use my...

    Need opinions on this setup...

When I did the EGR cooler delete, I bought the Sinister kit through MKM. Seemed to be quality materiial; fit good. Other than the head gaskets, everthing else in the overhaul kit appears to be FoMoCo, so I would think this would be a good kit.

    No start 2005 6.0L Excursion

The conditions that could cause a no-start on a 6.0L are long and diverse. It is not uncommon for it to be high-pressure oil related. The one that got me, and I’ve heard is not uncommon is a blown internal o-ring in top of an injector, where the high pressure oil rail inserts into the...

Question EGR Cooler Upgrade or Delete?

Okay, snatched the intake today; lots of black slime in it. I’m assuming that the black is just soot from the EGR exhaust and the wet slime is due to the leaking cooler. The cooler on the outlet end did not unusual but the inlet end that attaches to the up-tube was wet on the bottom 20%...

Question EGR Cooler Upgrade or Delete?

It appears as if I have lost the EGR cooler on my ’06 6.0L PSD. The truck started blowing white smoke occasionally; usually after idling or during in-town driving. On the highway, nothing. Then it began blowing tons of white smoke anytime the ambient temperature was below 20 degrees...

    EGR Codes and Black Smoke

I have a ’06 F250 with a 6.0L that has begun throwing DTC P0404 (EGR circuit range) & P0405 (EGR position sensor circuit low), typically at highway speeds under medium to heavy acceleration. After the requisite four starts without a fault, the MIL goes off (but the codes are still stored.) I...
