Well, I just picked up my truck from the Ford dealer. They ran a bunch of tests on it and came down to the oil cooler being bad. For some reason I felt like it wasn't sand and additive. Now I gotta tear apert the top end and remove the intake.
Any pointers before I tear this thing apart...
Okay, I took off my overflow tank and cleaned it out. I flushed the radiator a few times and noticed the overflow filling back up with oil stuff.
I then, removed the hose comming from my intake on the overflow tank side. I started the truck and noticed that the oil water mixture is coming...
i looked and the stuff is floating. It looks kinda creamy also. oily to touch with a slight sticky to it. How positive are you that it's the sand?

I don't have any water in the oil. I have oil in the water. I just did some studying on here and read something about people having sand in the overflow tank and that it's normal? I stuck my finger in there and the stuff was slippery.
It sounds weird but can it be that simple?
