I agree that they are crappy rebuilds, THey came right from Garrett the manufacture. Through the Ford dealer. That is one reason I won't go back.I will admit the first one was over boosted a few times, the other two where never boosted over the limit. I know because I am the only one that drives...
I have had 3 rebuilt turbos on my truck the last 4 years. I will admit the first one trashed was my fault boosting the old girl to 35 psi a few times.
Because of that failure I left the chip down so it would only boost 15 to 18 psi well within the limits of the stock turbo. And Always I cool...
It's been awhaile since doing research on WVO fuel pumps, Does anyone know what pump has lasted the longest and is durable pumping WVO.
I have used the MAllory 60 in my truck for 3 years before that the A1000 from aeromotive, A1000 lasted almost 6 months, the mallory has to have the brushes...
I agree, I have pulled the starter, funny thing though, I tried to run the starter with a 200amp battery charger and right off a battery, and it won't spin, but in the truck it would spin over. I am really thinking the starter has a dead short. and I haven't had time to take it to an armature...
I suspect my starter is drawing too high of amprage. Dose anyone have the specs on amprage draw on a loaded starter and a unloaded starter for troubleshooting?
I am thinking of the high draw because when starting the voltage is pulled down to 9.5 volts ( which is too low to start) With NEW...
I ran without a fan last winter, all winter, when the OAT started warming up I started to see the truck getting hotter then normal so I put the fan back on.
I always kept the fan and wrench in the truck just in case I needed it.
Funny you should mention this, I happen to be at oil change time 3000 miles. So I decided to change the oil, remove all the oil in the HPOP. New fresh oil and connected my AE went for a drive expecting to gather data of the problem. Well the idle isn't rough and it hasn't had the hesitation or...
Are you still running WVO? Are the test while running WVO. Not saying this is a contributing issue. But if different injectors or getting carbon build up then burning off and the next time different injectors have build-up and the others are clean.
I have a similer problem but only at idle...
The test could not be done cold, i tried, I kept getting a message like oil temp too low. So the test was done at operating temp.
I will look into the EOT thing. I should have a chance Friday and Sat to look at the truck, if it doesn't rain.
Normally the truck will run smooth after start up. And intermittently I have a rough idle, where you can not only hear the miss but also see the
Tach drop.
The no start problem after it has been running a min. or two only happens when the OAT is below 40*. Above that It usually dose not...
I had a chance today to connect my Auto Enginuity program up to her.
I ran the Cylinder Contribution test, the results were:
P0263 Cylinder 1 InjectorContribution/Balance Fault
P0266 Cylinder 2 InjectorContribution/Balance Fault
P0284 Cylinder 8 InjectorContribution/Balance Fault
Can...
I read that this morning and was giving it thought as well. My batteries are almost 3 years old. Do you know what your starting voltage was before you replaced the batteries and what it is now with fresh batteries?
It seams like my cranking voltage is 10.3 to 10.4 on the average which is...
