I second the 6.0 cooler. Works great! I tow my trailer monthly and barely see over 170deg. Without the trailer it is around 150-160. I live in Las Vegas, so you know it is hot here anyway and the extra cooling helps. Thats not bad considering I only have oil to air and not thru the radiator.
Actually I have axle wrap too, but the vibration is more than likely your driveline's slip joint needing to be lubed. I can floor mine form a light and don't get the vibration since I had the driveline shop rebuild my drivelines with there slip and stub joint.
I love my DP-Tuner 5 position Chip! Huge improvement over the Banks Six Gun stacked with the Edge Evolution. Good luck with whatever you choose. There are a lot of good ones out there, and also some Great ones!
It is a moderately easy task. It will bolt into the stock location of your current cooler. The hardest part is getting the old one out and the new one back in. I removed the front grill and the x cross bracing. It made it easy to get in. The next step will be to get some fittings to adapt the...
Yes. You will have to remove the front grill and loosen the cross bracing. You will still probably end up cutting your knuckles up a little. As far as adapting, I went to a local hose supplier and had some tranny hose fab'd up with 3/8 to 1/2 adapters. If you need more info check out...
I would have to dissagree, get the 6.0 cooler as it is 4 times bigger than the one you have and 1.5 or 2 times bigger than the one for the v-10. You will see almost a 40 degree drop in temps with the 6.0 cooler. Ir only requires a little modification to hook up to the 1/2 in lines and it will...
Actually the melting point of the pistons is about 1600 degrees. And I also recommend pre-turbo. I removed my manifold to drill as suggested by Banks. I had the six gun installed and that is what the directions say. I have heard people argue over that subject a lot. Pre for me.
