The dealer has what we call a black box it is basically like a flight recorder it has to be activated when it shuts down,I'd talk to the dealer and ask them about it and see if it can be put on but be warned there are alot of 6.0 issues out there so it could be on someone elses truck.also they...- Mark Hastings

If there isn't any play like a banging when you put it in drive or reverse then your rear end should be fine. Cost The cost is going to depend on the Dealer because some dealers have mechanics that aren't all that good but with my past exp if the mechanic is good it should take about an hour and the cost depends on the what the dealer charges per hour. I'm from Seymour and work in Knoxville.- Mark Hastings

Ford will not cover repairs to do with this TSB unless they put out a recall on it which I don't see happening with all the warranty work there having to do on the 6.0's. I have a 2006 in the shop now getting the injector harness on the engine which is $$$$$$$$$$$ for Ford.- Mark Hastings
