    2011 6.7 L cranks, but won’t start.

I had the same issue with my 2012 F350. Mine would start and run for about 2 sec before it would die. Ended up being the HPFP. Apparently it needs like 4000psi to run... the fuel pump on the rail only has enough to get it started and the HPFP takes over.

As a follow up to this thread. The problem with the truck was the high pressure fuel pump. I also found some diesel tuning dudes in my area, and plan on taking the truck there for a baseline and probably a new tuning pkg. Thanks for all the replys and feedback.

Thanks. Visual inspection of the engine compartment and undercarriage is all clear. Nothing out of place, loose or disconnected.

Thanks. There aren't any codes to read. That's why I'm looking for a tool that will actually perform diagnostics on the truck, rather than just read the codes (that aren't there).

The truck doesn't run. Are you saying I need to determine the tuning before I can isolate the problem? I'm not looking to re-flash/re-tune anything, just find out why it won't run. I'm looking for a diagnostic tool to help me isolate the problem.

Hey guys, I have a 2012 F350 4X4 6.7L diesel with a little over 100K miles. It died on me this week. Started knocking then the gas pedal stopped working but I was able to coast it to the shoulder. The engine light came on, but when I tried to read the codes with my POS reader, there weren't any...

    Question Oil pan replacement

Thanks for your help and advise! I ended up pulling the motor in my garage...replaced the oil pan, exhaust manifolds, water pump, starter, all hoses, and the belt. Rebuilt the HPOP and replaced the front and rear main seals, and the seals to the fuel filter. Replaced the seals on the oil...

    Question Oil pan replacement

I have a 2002 F250 7.3L 4X4 with a leak in the oil pan. Since replacing it is pretty much open heart surgery, and the motor needs to come out, I was wondering what else I should do while the engine is out. I was looking at replacing the exhaust manifolds, hoses, and belts. Are there other...
