My truck does the same thing. I havent actually figured out how often it does it but once in awhile, during regen, the truck does smoke like a B*tch. And yea i get the same embarrassment as you do with people flagging me down....- nhff2

yes i am using aftermarket wheels, and yes I did have the sensors installed on the new wheels. I have no problems at all with "Training" the truck with the new sensors, everything seems to be ok. i tried driving the truck for a few minutes like the manual says but the display still shows low...- nhff2

just put new wheels and tires on my truck. I cant get the TPMS to reset. Im thinking that its not resetting because im only running 45 psi in the new tires and the factory pressures are much higher. any advice as to what I can do to get the system to reset??- nhff2

well Ford has had my truck since Saturday afternoon, on Wed afternoon i got a call from the service manager telling me that the only problem they can find is that I had 4 bad injectors!!! 480 miles on the truck and I have bad injectors... wonderful! First decent trip (100 miles) with my 09 F350 6.4L. Came out of the last toll booth, got on it, and went NOWHERE. Engine RPM's went up but the trans didnt shift and the Boost gauge was spiked at 40 PSI. But after a few seconds everything seemed ok. Went another 10-15 Miles, got off the exit and...- nhff2

thats when i first noticed the white crust all over the engine compartment, after towing. thats also when the smoke got noticibly worse so Im really hoping thats the problem. Is the dealership sure thats the issue? Have they dealt with that issue before??- nhff2

I just checked the truck, the coolant lever is pretty normal but i did notice a few weeks ago that theres a white crust around the coolant tank. any more thoughts??- nhff2
