I had a WW inmy truck it solved some of the surge but did not fix it. A while back I put the ATS on it with the Stock wheel the surge stopped. I also recomend rons turbo shop. I rebuilt my turbo for 94 bones. Off topic...I have a stock wheel if anyone wants to trade there WW for it:sly..
I have changed 4 of them out now. I guess make sure the screwdriver is deep in the vanes. I had a hard time getting the last one off cause the owner was boosting the turbo and snigged it up tight. I stuck two screwdrivers in there ( like chopsticks) and it came off. I had to wrap the stock...
Check out Rons Turbo Shop. PH# 801-842-9186. Outstanding guy. The exhaust wheel is part of the shaft. If you want to rebuild it yourself it is easy. He can rebuild it for you. The exhaust wheel costs (memorie correct) 120.00. Give him a call. Good luck....;tu
wow I did not know I could make life so difficult.:sorry If anyone wants to know any more about the "Foil Delete" mod just PM me. I did not mean to drag this post on this long. ;tu:dh
The boost tube that goes to the front driverside of the intercooler. It runs right next to the powersteering. It comes off the compressor side of the turbo. I wish I knew how to show pics it would make it easier for me to explain. Taking the aluminum off the tube needs to be done with...
Its on there for idiots like me. Ever touch the boost toobs after high boost run. Even though there aluminum they get hot. Like when your truck sits out in the sun and you touch it feeling. After the air goes through the IC it sould be cooler. After the air has ben pushed through the turbo it...
I held Banks and Dieselsite wheels next to each other and saw no difference. I ran both. I still could not tell any difference. Price was the biggest difference. I am going to buy the Turbomaster from Dieselsite. It is sapposed to help controle the waste gate better than stock. So for waste...
Its just that..!!! It is insulating the turbo noise. I always wondered why my dads sounded louder than mine. Then I saw his insulation was not on. So after one very deep cut, many choice words and three beers I got my insulation off. Almost worth it. But it does sound louder.
I talked to my tranny guy he told me if I wanted to throw a quart of 50wht oil in there. I did and it quieted it down some. Mostly I could tell shifting was smoother. Other than that these trannies growl/grind when there at slow speeds. When I have to do something that slow I put it in low. :D
