They come with a V-6. I have been looking lately and the Ford CV/Mercury GM get close to the same mileage with a V-8. The 500, even though a smaller car, seems to have more interior room.
Don't forget the prices you mentioned is due to taxation, Diesel is still the cheapest fuel in those countries. I firmly believe we are being taken to the cleaners by clueless tree huggers. JMHO so. -popcorn
Sorry to disagree. I bought my 7.3 for longevity and fuel economy. I got both trading up from my F-150 with the 4.6 V-8. :thumbs Imagine my surprise that the 7.3 diesel can run circles around the old F-150. :cowboy:
Now if Ford doesn't get their act together in 07 I might look at a Dodge...
Well, all the bad news about the 6.0 and the recent recall makes me confident that the 07 will be a great truck. Even the bean counters at Ford must realize that this is not the way to sell a 40k vehicle. -popcorn Hope I am right
I am seriously thinking about a VW TDI...since Ford won't touch diesels besides the SD, (I already got one), I might just support a company which gives me a puddle jumper getting 45 mpg. Ford has them in their European inventory....
I'll second a central vac. I have three large dogs and would be lost without a central vac, and they are cheaper installed than a Kirby. :thumbs -popcorn
Since we are talking CPS, why do they fail?? I asked the same question "over there" years ago, and nobody could come up with an answer. After all it is a non moving part which should last forever. :dunno
Knock on wood, mine is still good at 75k miles. :thumbs -popcorn
Maybe Ford should get a little more price competetive when it comes to scheduled maintenance? Heck, as we speak they want $60.00 for an oil change, and that is their sooper dooper deal with coupon I recently received in the mail.
