I looked at it. It was spunky, but the body was trashed. The bed looked like it was used to haul bolders, after they dropped them 10 feet into it. Buying 1st Super Duty - some clarifications
I've come across a few 2003 - 2004 Ford diesels but previously discounted them from the rap I was hearing from the street. But apparently I heard the wrong stuff. I'm considering a 2004 6.0 F350 with 143K on it. Anything in particular I should check out on that model year?- SandW

So the 6.0 and 6.4 didn't have massive problems like head-gasket recalls, etc? I've heard they had issues and after the warranty period Ford wouldn't help the owners out at all.
