I'm not sure on a 2010 but on my 2011 you turn the filter housing 2 turns and then open the drain. If you do that, only the fuel in the housing comes out.
Adding upfitter switches is the first thing I did to my 2011 SD. I got the switch off Ebay. I wasn't too bad to do but the satalite radio receiver and power mirror relay were kind of in the way for mounting the relay box. I've hooked one switch up to driving lights and one for LED back/up...
Your new truck should have no problem. You'll get better fuel milage if you only use the tow/haul mode for the transmission when you're in hilly terain. Use "normal" mode when you're in flat country.
I just turned 40K on my 2011 F250, Crew Cab 4x4. I average 17 with mixed driving and about 19 on the highway @ 70 to 75 mph. My best on the highway is 21.3 mpg. If I didn't have the DEF it would probably increase 1 to 3mpg. The torque is awsome. I get 12mpg pulling my 29' camper. The 07'...
This is my work truck, my pull my camper truck, my drive to the store truck, my hunting truck, my go to church truck...... and my everything else truck. I put 40 to 50K a year on it.
Better mileage is my first priority. It’s not bad but I’m always looking to improve it. I’m looking ahead a little. I should be out of warranty in less than a year.
29,000 miles on mine now with temps always in the 190's. The only other two trucks that I've owned with trans temp gauges ran about the same too. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm think that these are normal trans temps. The 6.0 liters may just have run cool. I also checked my transmission...
Has anyone tried the Banks air intake on a 6.7? I'd love to know what difference it makes in power and fuel milage before I spend the cash. It's pretty expensive and I hate wasting money.
I just drove 454 miles from southern Indiana to Milwaukee, WI and averaged 21.3 mpg on my 6.7 liter F250. I could only be happier if LSD was $2 a gallon.
That's about what my 2011 F250 6.7 has been running all summer. I have about 23,000 miles now and it has never had any shifting problems. I runs that temp when I'm empty or pulling my 30' camper.
Just changed the oil, oil filter and both fuel filters on my 6.7 for the first time. I can't believe how EASY it was. My last truck was a Toyota Tundra 5.7 and it was the hardest vehicle that I've ever serviced; but my SD was Soooooo easy. The upper fuel filter took about a minute (after I...
