THE truck does comunicate with a mac mentor that has obd1 hook ups it has ek4 connector under the hood. Would a chip cause it not to communicate with the scannner.
Will do that tomorrow. Thanks
I will get back to you guys.
if there is a smell is that the problem?
Is this the glow plug harness?
Would he have to replace the whole harness?
Under the hood by the pcm I not sure exactly I wasn't there when he hooked it up. It was a mac genisis scanner the one with the big screen. What is the UVC harness?
I'am asking a question on my freinds truck it is a 94 1 ton powerstroke. We tryed hooking up a mac scanner to it and it won't communicate with the computer so its probably chiped. It sounds like it has a misfire at idle and when your going down the highway at 65 it says its reving at 3500...
I Drove the truck around in a parking lot today with the 4 wheel drive on it works the tire get chirping and the truck was lurching. Then I got all four tires of the ground and put it in 4 wheel drive and they turned. one side faster then the other.
napa sells the warn premium manual hubs then on warn industries site they say you have to buy a spindle conversion kit. Do you think it would be hard to switch it over?
DO you think I could convert them to manual hubs from like napa or any auto parts store? If not I heard that the vacuum lines crack and don't seal which causes them not to work. I hope thats it the problem. Anybody else have any past expierences with this problem?
I was wondering if my truck had manual locking hubs it has the lever on the floor. It is a 1997 the light comes on but it doesn't feel different in the snow. If so how do you put switch the hubs?
when I shut the truck off when it was warm then started it up a couple of minutes later it didn't do it again. And it only does it when its cold after it warms up a little bit it won't do it much.
