    Yes we are full timing and when it is your only home you need it to be really well made and insulated. The Heartland we are in is nice but there are some things I wish it did better.

    We are looking at the Redwood trailers. The ones we have seen are very nice. I like the front living room model more than I should....LOL Maybe in five years.

    I found out that we have one half of a B&W hitch system already installed on my new truck. So we have decided to just get the top fifth wheel companion hitch rated at 20K and sell the Reese.

    Well I got the check engine light today and a loss of power. Cruise control isnt working either. Took it to a local shop and he pulled the following codes out: P132B, P0529, P0269, P2269 and P2263. He was able to clear them all and the light went out. Still no CC though. Told me to drive it...

    This is my second dualie. I had a 92 Chevy that I pulled a fiver with back in the day. It was a 454 too. Back before the Duramax Allisons were even though of.

    I removed the Reese 15K I had on the Chevy and having it installed on the Ford. It handles this trailer ok. If we ever go bigger, IE the Redwood my DW likes, I will get a bigger hitch. With the long beds its nice not to have to deal with a slider hitch too.

    Nope, it was a SRW. It was a 1998 Chevy C3500 long bed with the Vortec 454 gas motor. I bought it new and it had just one over 126000 when I traded it in last week. This trailer was just too big for it and I didnt want to take a chance on the DOT scaling me out and giving me an overweight...

    Im going to be pulling a 38' Heartland Big Country 5r with mine. I had an older Chevy C3500 but it just wasnt up to the task. Having the fifth wheel hitch re-installed next week, but wont be moving the trailer until March. We full time and are in the San Antonio Texas area for the Winter.

    You Sir were EXACTLY right! It allows the RPMs to rev from 1200 to 2200 RPM using the potentiometer. Couldnt find switches 1,2 & 4 connected to anything. It has only the stock lighting installed.

    Thanks Big Joe for the quick response. I am going to have to get under the dash and see what else I can find. There is a small potentiometer installed under the steering wheel that I am trying to figure out too......mystery mods.

    Last week I purchased a 2008 Ford F350 dually. Today while parked, I accidently turned on the 3d Aux switch and the engine reved up to over a 1000 rpm. I have no idea what is connected to this switch. None of the other 3 switches do anything. Any ideas or how I could find out...
