Thanks
i assume he did on the flywheel but I don't know for sure. He knows what he's doing I think he was recommended. the other thing will this cause the throw out bearing issue too. Throw out bearing even abused should last good while i think.
I also heard something about the OEM dual...
HEY ALL. I AM FRUSTRATED BEYOND BELIEF. I HAVE 2000 F250 7.3L WITH THE 6 SPEED MANUAL. I HAVE HAD 2 CLUTCHES PUT IN IT IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. 1ST ONE I PAID FOR OF COURSE THE 2ND WAS REPLACED WARRANTY. BUT NOW ITS DOING IT AGAIN. IT HOPS THE BACK WHEELS AS YOU LET OUT THE CLUTCH. IT FEELS LIKE...
Thanks Big Joe I agree I can't really explain on the site its something that need to be seen. I will get a second opinion for sure. It is a light grey smoke almost like mist or fog. I think a 7,000 dollar Christmas bonus may have been a small factor in the guys advise if you know what I mean...
Well I've read everybody's comments and been quiet so far. Living in Georgia we get some really bad winters I think it got down to 20 F last year and rotella works just fine. In fact rotella leaks out of my turbo pedistal great. I have no complaints.
Sorry had to put a little smart *ss comment...
I'm glad you asked mille-ryan because my 2000 does the same thing now. It didn't do it or I couldn't hear it until I put my 4" turbo back exhaust on. But I'm with you Jesus it's loud I was worried about something wrong also.
OK I picked up the truck today and got the scoop. The issue he was talking about was back flow which he said shows signs that the motor is hurt. He took off the intake and grey smoke was coming out and also when he took off the oil cap it was coming out of there too. He said no telling how long...
You guys were correct it was the valve cover harness. Lesson learned to wait for replies from you guys a little longer.
I do have another issue the guy at the shop told me that the air cleaner box is broken which I was aware of but I thought it was tight enough and the motor has been sucking...
I appreciate the info guys. The truck has 140,000 miles on it and all I have done is a MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust. I looked a little more after posting the trouble and noticed a new oil leak coming from the back of the motor but I can't see where. So I figured I needed to put the truck in the...
:dunno I have a 7.3L and last night I felt it sputter a couple of times and then the check engine light came on and it started running like crap. Sounds and feels like its missing out but I know no spark plugs. So I did the easiest thing and took the fuel filter out and drained the fuel bowl...
Thanks for the thoughts I think I found someone to do the labor and I am going to get the parts. You recomend getting a new flywheel What about getting the old one resurfaced? Just what I was told I don't know if it is sufficient or not. I do want it done right so it will last.
