    2005 Torqshift...Is it damaged?????

That would do it. Don't ask me how I know. Find the source of the leak, or perhaps during the last service the technician shorted you a gallon of Mercon SP?

Sorry to hear about that, John. Even if it is expected it is still a heavy load to carry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Richard and Laura

    what radio to get?

I still use my CD-6 that came with the truck. It works with the steering wheel controls, has the speed sense that increases the volume when the road noise increases, and with the PIE FRD-AUX adapter, plays my SiriusXM radio when I press the AUX button.

    Maiden Maintenance Voyage on 6.0

A couple of spray cans of brake cleaner works wonders there. My truck has the same problem. It's not a leak, it's more of a slow ooze. Nothing to worry about, I have yet to see a diesel engine without a leak SOMEWHERE.:coffee

    coolant temp vs oil temp

All of the gauges that come factory are nothing more than glorified idiot lights. At the very least get a Scanguage at Auto Zone. That will really tell you what is going on.

    RV Roof Maintanence

The shedding of white chalky material is normal. It's supposed to do that. Good choice on the elastomeric coating. I also looked at the two part solution, but for what they want for the product, I can get roofing membrane and re-roof the fiver. My labor is free. Now if I had access to an old...

    Somebody shoot me!!

To paraphrase "The most interesting man in the world"... I don't always fly, but when I do, I prefer to fly in a plane that TG has done the maintenance on... stay airborne, my friends!

Running RV deep cycle battery in f-350.

Bad batteries make for some weird and unexpected juju in these trucks. In my case it made the speedometer read 30 miles per hour even when it was standing still. A battery test indicated the right side battery was toast. Replaced both original batteries at four and a half years, the speedometer...

    RV frig. removal

Go to your local book store or online shop and get a copy of Bob Livingston's RV Repair and Maintenance Manual. I have a copy, and it gives descriptions of maintenance of every RV from the smallest trailer to the biggest motor home. Trailer Life's RV Repair and Maintenance Manual by Bob...

Chevy To Build The New Colorado In The US (Ford Are You Listening?)

The new global Ranger is too close in size to the F-150, and would cannibalize sales of the F-150 if it were brought here. Ford will not bring the Ranger to the North American market.

Pics from out first camping trip in the FEMA trailer

As a suggestion, go to e-Bay and get some graphics packages for the sides of your trailer. Plain white looks so...plain! I passed the exit on I-65 for Oak Mountain yesterday and remembered you mentioned it. I'll have to check it out for myself since I can't seem to find any good mountain...

Help Needed Looking for recreational land

A few days ago, I mentioned that the wife and I were going to go to Tennessee to look at some property to use as a campsite and possibly a home site when the wife finally retires. We looked at some property that we saw on the internet, the pictures they posted looked promising, and the price...

Article Death of the Station Wagon?

When I was growing up, we had several wagons, from a Rambler Ambassador to an Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser to the ultimate for the time, a Mercury Marquis Colony Park with power everything, it would seat eight, ten in a pinch. Even now the wife has a Focus wagon, which they quit making a couple of...

    Steve Jobs dies

X3 I have a house full of Macintosh computers, from the first version of the iMac to several desktop models, and the entire family has MacBooks and iPhones. The man was a genius. And to hear his neighbors talk about him on NPR, he never let his success go to his head. He lived in a modest...

    Another ESOF 4X4 problem

Check the vacuum solenoid on the inside of the engine compartment, passenger side. If it goes bad, it can't provide enough vacuum to activate the hubs. A new one costs $83 at the dealer, I fixed all of the problems you describe with a new solenoid. All of my vacuum lines were fine.

Maiden Voyage with the travel trailer this weekend

Sugartree Falls, in the northeast corner of Wayne County. Not too far from Hohenwald. It's undeveloped hill property with a lot of streams and trees. Of course I am open to suggestions... By the way, the ESOF problem is fixed. The vacuum solenoid was toast. $83 to the stealership parts desk...

Maiden Voyage with the travel trailer this weekend

Have a great time, Stephen! You lucky dog, I wish I was going camping, but too many things going on right now, and I still have to troubleshoot the ESOF problem, I think I have a vacuum solenoid that's gone tango uniform. I will be up in your neck of the woods soon, looking at some vacation...
