    Clutch and injectors.

I'm milking a diesel soaked clutch as long as I can. I'd be curious to hear how it holds up to a good load behind it. My boat weighs 6K dry, minus the trailer.

What can be done about "warped" rotors?

Cryo's with Hawk Performance pads fixed the very same problem for me. VERY happy with the performance of this set up. Well worth the cash.

    AC Mod

Bought mine from Dieselsite.com. Works good; fair price; quick shipping; great instructions and didn't spend hours debating it...........

    Humor Slow shifter

I'm due for a clutch change and I'm going to swap to Redline when I do. Hopefully it will help some. I don't have any issues when driving normally but you aren't going to win any races off a dead stop for sure. Like f100 said, take him on rolling down the road. Mine will leave people in a cloud...

    Clutch PEDAL removal

It was till I welded it!! If you look close you will see how wore the little tit/tab is where the actuating rod goes. I'm going to replace with a shaft that fits the bushing from Ford that is no longer on my actuating rod due to wear. 211K on it now so the pedal has been pushed in quite a few times!

    Clutch PEDAL removal

All fixed. I need to either get a new pedal assembly or cut the old actuating rod tab off and replace with a shaft that matches the size of the actuating rod and put a washer and cotter pin in the end to keep the rod from coming off. Good enough for now though.

    Clutch PEDAL removal

Well, I finally had time to really look at the pedal assembly. I got it out with just two circlips and sliding the shaft out. Thought there was enough room to slide towards the fender but had to slide it towards the center of the truck. Couple scraped knuckles but other than that, pretty...

    Clutch PEDAL removal

Was just on my way home from town and my clutch pedal went to the floor. Pulled into a parking lot and saw the tab laying on the floor that the actuating rod goes onto to actuate the master cylinder then the slave cyl....etc. I'm going to weld it back on but after getting under there to pull the...

    Question Brake pad advice, please!!

I'm using Hawk pads and love them. I did, however, put some new Cryo rotors on too. Stops soooooo much better.

    Question Clutch repair advice

You can peek in the hole for the slave cylinder a little. Maybe with a small inspection mirror and a flashlight you could see what's up inside. If his clutch pedal feels normal then that almost rules out the entire actuating system and leaves only the clutch/pressure plate assembly (maybe the...

    Question Clutch repair advice

Having been through this twice I would recommend you get the parts yourself (using a good aftermarket brand as named above) and have someone do the labor for you. It ran me $600 for the labor a few years ago down here in Enterprise. Should be close to that up where you are in Auburn. Probably...

    Step rail brackets......

I put '08 steps on mine (I don't know what kind/yr you have) but when I was looking for my steps I noticed there were a lot of brackets and parts sold individually on ebay.

    New Job for Me??

Well, if you ever get tired of the cold (I lived 18 years in the Owosso area, down by Lansing/Flint growing up) there is plenty of work down here in East L.A. (eastern lower Alabama). Starting pay for A&P's fresh out of school is $24 before shift differential pay. Great BCBS bennies as far as I...

    Clutch Bleeding

I just replaced all of my clutch hydraulic parts and it did NOT come pre-bled. I had read that it did too and was looking forward to the ease of replacement. Instead, a day and a half later I finally got it properly bled and operating. I am a PRO at removing and installing clutch parts now!! It...

    Front end issues

I have put new Moog u-joints in mine and new hubs. Tightened my steering box also. Still getting a clunk. Shocks are new and tight. I figure it is the leaf spring bushings. I have an entire Energy Suspension Poly kit for the truck I just need the time.......an asset I am at the poverty level...

    Question Engine Oil of Choice

I have been looking at the Traveller All Fleet for a while now since we just got a TSC locally. I am starting to believe that a good quality CJ-4 oil, dino or syn, when changed WHEN NEEDED will be extremely close in performance to each other. The biggest difference is price in my opinion. I'm...

    Installing cab lights

Ha Ha! Yea, I'm still tossing it up. I will probably go with OEM's with some smoked lenses. It will make everything easier as far as wiring the factory harness, etc. I did notice a small rash starting last night...............
