Looking for a Block heater cord

My apologies to all for a bum steer. At the local dealership I had asked where my cord was and they told me that I had neither the cord nor the heater element. Today I was back to have the steering stabilizer replaced and the "diesel guy" looked at it. Yes the block heater is there, just...

Looking for a Block heater cord

Fine69, Regular plug where it should have been, ho heater element, no cord. Fordtrucker4life!, I have a 2005 with a 2004 engine. So where is my heater?

Looking for a Block heater cord

It isn't that they don't all come with a cord, mine doesn't even have the block heater. Verified at the garage, no cord, no heater in the block. Minus fourteen last night...

Middle seat swap bench to captains chairs

Yes, four Captain's Chairs were available as a factory option, at least in my year. I can't offer any information about a front to rear seat swap. Used rear buckets should swap right in for your bench.

    pyro gauge fitting?

Isn't it possible to use the fitting at the front of the driver's side manifold? I thought I had read that the sender (sensor) at that location was no longer needed after a certain update. If so, you have a no drill installation. If true, I need to do it myself.

    Diesel Fuel vs. Gas pricing

So no good reason for the difference in price, I'm feeling the love.

    Diesel Fuel vs. Gas pricing

If discussed to death sorry, but... Diesel fuel was always less expensive than gas, then it was joined at the hip with unleaded gas pricing at the pump. What happened to create the 30 to 40 cent higher difference?

    S&B Intake

I don't know which aftermarket filters are the PITA to install that locmotv mentions but the Airaid couldn't have been easier. The directions are available online if anyone wants to check them out.

which after market air filter assembly

Take a look at the Airaid. I have used both Airaid and K&N (once on the same rig) and have had great luck with the Airaid. You should like the price too.

    Light Bar

Mine bolts on using the front bumper bolts, couldn't be easier. It's made by KC and I bought it on-line. It mounts four lights and is very sturdy.

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

bushpilot, thank you for a well thought out response. I knew there were only a few battery manufacturers, I didn't know it about filters. Years ago when I sold parts we had Luberfiner filters. The truckers swore by them. (Nice diesel pre-heater with no moving parts.) I don't remember the...

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

Your "Holy Grail" of filters sounds great, if it is based on facts. I started this off based on casual observations in a store and lots of reading. I have read the "don't use Fram" before, but never understood it. I looked at Motorcraft and Fram together and saw no difference. I've used...

    New mod.....

There is a heat extractor hood out there, saw one the other weekend on an F-350. Looks good, and should help while moving. My brother always pops the hood after any drive to let off heat. Easy if you have a garage.

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

F350DRW1, you mention a rubber grommet on the bottom of the Purolator but I have only seen felt. And I have read elsewhere about people getting worked up about just that issue. Is it an issue?

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

Your 428 took a Fram PH8-A that you needed a hacksaw to take apart, our 6.0s have a very exposed filter. I have seen the "Made in Germany" on the two (Motorcraft and Fram) examples at the store which is what started my search for information on these, or other appropriate filters.

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

So does Racor build the filter for Motorcraft, Fram, Cornbinder, any/others?

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

I'm leaning toward the Oil-Guard. I don't have the information in front of me but there was another one I was looking at but the return went in to the drain plug. Hard to shop for the Amsoil products since everyone is supposed to become a dealer. The Oil-Guard return in to the oil fill...

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

I was waiting for some Amsoil input. With the by-pass I'll be adding I know I can extend the drain time (with samples and testing) and it will be an adjustment for me. I thought I read that the Amsoil filter doesn't meet OE specs (not trying to start a fight).

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

F350DRW1, my friend there are no worries. I only offered the information so you could be of more help to me. I could be injecting nitrous, propane, and methanol while burning all four tires street racing Accords. Or I could be babying my Super Duty never accelerating more than four hundred...

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

I appreciate all the input, but before Blackstone comments pull us off course I would still like to hear from someone with regard to the Fram/Motorcraft filters. Same manufacturing plant, same specs, is there a better filter? Inquiring minds want to know. F350DRW1, I'm glad you are...

Is there not an adapter threaded in to the manifold with pipe thread and the adapter has straight thread where the sensor screws in place?

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

CHPMustang, I appreciate your concern regarding anything other than OEM filters, but you are then dealing with a "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act" issue. "Meets or exceeds OEM" has always been the hallmark of the aftermarket, and I would be amused to see a manufacturer deny a claim based on a...

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

CHPMustang, if you look at the filters they appear identical. On the base both say they are Made in Germany. There are other markings on the base of the Motorcraft, but otherwise identical. F350DRW1, all the filters but one Fram were all wrapped in plastic. New inventory or old I don't...

    Motorcraft vs. Fram Oil Filters

So I'm in Sprawl-Mart this weekend picking up Synthetic Rotella-T (Some change for a Mobil-1 user) and I'm looking at the Super-Duty oil filters by Motorcraft and Fram. Out of the box they appear to be the same, both have an o-ring, both are made in Germany, both have felt on the base. There...
