Cluster Radio Power Windows all Inop

This has become more and more of an issue as these truck age and rack up the miles because they are great work trucks. One issue you may come across at one time or another is an all out dead or intermittent operation of the cluster, then at the same time you notice the radio is out and so is the...

OEM Radio Removal- No Special Tools

Just wanted to share this bit of information since pulling the radio is usually the first step in many dash related and behind the dash repairs. It may be simple but is always easier to do after seeing how it's done. Hope this helps out as you will likely run across this in the future...

    2008-2010 Intermittent Heater Temp control

Heat not working right? You put it on cold and it blows hot or vice versa? Your blend door actuator is likely at fault. So I figured this was common enough on the 2008-10 Superduties to make a video of the temp blend door actuator replacement. It involves pulling some pieces of the dash that...

    Cruise Control Inoperative Diagnose

Got around to making a video on this common complaint finally. Usually very frustrating as it can be intermittent more often than just totally inoperative. The number one cause of the cruise not working is the brake pressure deactivator switch. In this video I show you a simple way to test it as...

    Stuck EGR Valve Removal

Now usually pulling an Egr valve is no big deal. On the 6.4l they use no sealing O-rings and rely on precision fit to seal it up. This can lead to problems pulling the Egr out for either cleaning or replacement where it seems to be stuck in the housing forever. Even the Ford removal tool they...

5.4l 3v Broken Spark Plug Removal Method

So yes I am following the method Lisle spells out but with the tips I have learned over the years from using this tool so much. With my video I got you in as close as possible to really see what the process is so you can see someone else do it first before you attempt it so you can have a...

5.4l 3v Spark Plug Removal Instructions

Well I finally had one come in the shop recently after not seeing them for a long time. So I decided to shoot a video on the current favorite removal method that is working for us shops out there, since there are a few videos out there but they are all of poor quality. This works about 90% of...

    No Start in Park

Forgot about this common issue with the Superduty and Excursion vehicle that while it won't leave you stranded, it is a pain to live with. It has to do with the shift linkage bracket bolts coming loose and losing the shift cable adjustment as a result. Check out the video, as you will likely run...

    Oil Pressure Sender Going Out???

I have changed quite a few oil sensing units on the 6.0 common enough. Also if you low pressure oil was that low it would starve the high pressure pump and your truck would die out before any damage anyway.

Hard Start No Start Cold GPR issues

Not sure why I didn't post this in the right forum but here it is. Just had my first Cold no start diesel of the season and decided to share the diagnosis involved since others may soon be in the same boat. This one had a bad glow plug relay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnd8ea-QJSg

Hard Start or No Start Cold

I don't know, it was 60 degrees here when these 2 came through but at that temp after a few key cycles of 10 sec cranks and it fired but why put all that extra on your starter. It never gets to the 50's or 60's there? I remember a few days showing up for PT in the morning on Camp Pendleton it...

Hard Start or No Start Cold

Yeah I have had 2 come in the shop this season already and it's not even that cold here both needed them. One was a 1995 and the other was a 1996. I have never worked on so many of the older 7.3l, they usually take them to independent shops and I get buried in 6.0's.

6.4l Serpentine belt chirp noise fix

No white trails on the 2 main hoses @ the connection to the engine? You have to look from underneath a certain way to see them where they connect to engine.
