sloppy gear selector
hey guys my gear shift is pretty loose and annoying, I've heard you can tighten this up but I cant seem to find anything on how to do it. does anyone here know how? is it fairly simple? thanks- coondog491

Bad leak!
ok i got a kit from the dealer labeled as "o" Ring Kit Part number: 2C3Z-9G804-AB It had 3 red colored o rings, a small tube of loctite sealant, and a instruction sheet. The kit is meant to replace the two output line and the plug on the back of the HPOP The dang thing was 30 bucks...- coondog491

Bad leak!
hey guys i found a leak a couple of days ago and i think i narrowed it down to the lines coming out of the hpop, ive called around and asked for the o rings that go onto the fitting but no one seems to no what im talking about. does anyone have the par tnumber to those seals? and what is the...- coondog491

holy smokes !!!
ok as far as i know BLACK: excess fuel being burnt, if theres an excess amount its not really a good thing cause thats alot of lost power. it looks cool to some people though, but its not really a bad thing WHITE: unburnt fuel that passed through the cylinders, dont really know if that would...- coondog491

oh ok that makes sense, this is my first diesel truck so im trying to learn as much as i can, and where i live it gets below 40 maybe 3 times a year so im not used to running trucks in cold weather Thanks alot man- coondog491

thanks alot guys, i just added distilled water and then went on a 800 mile trip, got back and was low again not as much though but ill keep an eye on it. whats the best way to do a coolant flush if im going to change the type of coolant? and what is the benefit of a coolant filter and where can...- coondog491
