    Oil for 6.0

    I've been running Shell Rotella synthetic since 5k miles. I now have just ove 19k on the truck. Dealer never asked what oil I'm running when it in for an EGR problem or the throttle sensor problem. Time to find a new dealer. All that is required for the oil is meet the specs in the owners...

    I couldn't tell you. I have the older version of DPPI's exhaust. It doesn't have the provision for the cat. I did keep mine just in case I need to put it back in at some point. By looking at DPPi's site the cat delete pipe only has 2 band clamps. Sorry can't be more help. Keith

    Some of the 03's and the 04's have throttle plates. These "supposedly" close to pull a partial vacuum to help got the exhaust gasses into the engine. Keith

    Did they hook your the to the computer? Mine had loss of power and the trans not shifting properly. The first time was the EGR and the second time was the throttle plate malfunctioning. With the second problem the truck would run 70 MPH but no power. Keith

    You can install the exhaust now and install the cat delete pipe later. I don' t know how many band clamps you'll have to loosen and remove but it shouldn't be too hard to do. The earlier systems didn't keep the cat. Mine is in the garage hiding. Keith
