    to clarify i dont think either system, metric or sae, has an accuracy advantage over the other...sae can be used to measure in tolerances smaller than a thousandths of an inch. personally if i buy any thing i just wish to GOD theyd stick to one or the other not BOTH on the same item...

    the GOLD (G-05) is available from autozone (zerex brand), ive not been able to find G05 anywhere other than @ the autozones in my area. There is no need to ADD SCT's to GOLD coolant (like you would w/ green)... Gold (G05) coolant achieves its maximum level of protection at 70%...

    whats the coolant level in the degas bottle look like ? you spilling coolant out of the bottle ? <look for white crusty deposits around and under the degas bottle> whats the color of the exhaust ? white ? how many miles on your truck ?

    damm i was gonna say whats up w/ the TAX disk on the front...now i see thats just your "build to" model. you gonna make it a "hard tail" ??? where you gonna ride it to if its got no rear suspension ? btw i like the "lack of chrome" model. id say chop the front end LESS (so it handles).

    try costco...they carry both rotella and delvac...youll need about 14qts (NOT 15). buy your filters at walmart (fram or motorcraft) for about 15 bucks. run what the book calls for (weight & temp wise)....i dont know what the 6.4 calls for...i run 15w40 (rotella) cheapest ive found it is...

    nah im fine, autometer gauge on the a-pillar hasnt cracked the 180 mark (even towing) since ive owned the truck...im due for the tranny by-pass filter replacment though. ive checked my fluid level & color...didnt need to smell it since its never gotten hot....ive only got 20k miles on this...

    friend of mine <nother forum> says his front loader LG is a pos too... says theyve had repairman out 4 times... all i can figure is that EVERY front loader is gonna be a problem because of the way the bearing is loaded (weight pushing DOWN). buy a top loader !
