    Question Rear window power slider sticks.....

    I ran into this with my 2005 King Ranch, and ultimately had to have the back glass replaced because it's serviced as a unit (FORD) now what happens is the wire cable eats up the plastic inside and binds up so the cable can't move, and it can't move the window. There is no other fix for it I'm told.

    Ok here's the bill.... the proper oil for that tranny is Mercon SP. do not put any dino oils in that tranny you will hurt it.... YOU WILL HURT IT!

    Update I had it Flushed

    Here's the update..... I had the tranny flushed today, for all of you that are not aware of this procedure, my diesel mechanic hooks this electric pumping machine to the cooling lines of the torqueshift tranny and pours in 18 quarts of Mercon SP tranny fluid into the machine. Fires up the truck...

    Yes sort of, you should of purged all of the dino oil before the syn fill. the two oils (mercon sp) are not compatible I believe. Also what trans do you have? The torqueshift? post some info about you truck.

    Switch #1= 30 amps, Switch #2 = 30 amps, Switch #3 = 10 amps, and Switch #4 = 10 amps. All switches have a circuit breaker inline and is located above the passenger side glove box. Best not to exceed those rated current draws.

    Dealership says with a flush all the old fluid comes out ...... but I'm thinking that maybe some of the old crap might also get pushed around in the trans you know into those itsy bitsy tiney tiny little holes......

    Or have any personal experience with a transmission flush. Is it better than just dropping the pan changing the fluid and filter. My dealership says the flush is the way to go.... I have my doubts thought. what do you all think. Any comments would be appreciated. My truck just turned 40 thousand...

    One more thing to ponder..... do you have the nav option in your truck? any cd's left in the player? I believe if you forgot one of the nav cd's in the unit just maybe??? Just a thought.
