    i tried out the 20k resistor yesterday, aka-2 10k resistors inline, and it worked out pretty good. it smokes more and runs a little better than the 15.6 that i was runnin before. i'm going to go to radioshack and buy some of the 22k resistors and see how well they run.

    yup, that is what the 10k mod is. and the higher your resistor value the more power you will get out of it if you do it inline. if you jam the resistor in the plug then the lower the resistor value, the more power.

    i just changed the way i did my 10k mod. i used to have it jammed in the plug with a 5.6k resistor, but i put a resistor inline on the blue wire and i have found that with the 15.6k resistor i have in now, the truck blows more smoke and has more power than it did the old way. i got more power...

    well the way i look at it is this... your egt's may get to high, but if you don't keep getting on it for a long period of time then you should be fine. you have to get over 1250* for awhile before you melt your pistons. i don't have guages and i use the 5.6k everyday w/ no problems. you should...

    if your like me, then your MPG may go down some. i get around 15.5 and i hammer on it a lot!!! i use a 5.6k resistor instead of the 10k. you will see a difference with the 10k, but i get a little more low end and smoke out of the 5.6k than i did with the 10k. you have to watch out using the 5.6k...

    you can do the DIY tymar for around $40. all you gotta do is get a 6637 filter. my turbo really starts to whistle loud around the 2500 rpm range. although you will be able to hear the turbo it will not sound like the new ones b/c they have a wastegate and ours do not have a wastegate.

    do you have a cool air intake? if so then you should hear an awesome whistle around 2500 rpm. at least that's when mine starts to whistle really loud. if you don't have an intake then do a 6637 filter and take out the stock air box and you should hear it nicely.
