Trip odometer showed 375 miles with the 38 gal tank 1/2 full today. SCT with the FICM is running great!

Announcement Power Hungry Performance FICM installed

Just an update for those wanting some long term results. I have been very pleased with the PH FICM tuning. There is a positive power gain with excellent turbo response. THis will not eliminate the turbo lag but it does help. I haven't gained the MPG like I was hoping but a small increase...

Announcement Power Hungry Performance FICM installed

ID is developing two versions: mild and race. Race is used when running larger turbos and injectors. I have been enjoying the new feel of the truck. Once I get to 1/2 tank we will know the real deal with the tuning.

Announcement Power Hungry Performance FICM installed

Yes, ID is doing the FICM tuning. I understand it as ID is also working a hand held tuner that will do both the FICM/PCM tuning in one shot. Right now it's tune the FICM, then get the SCT written for the FICM. Seems as this will be the new way to tune the 6.0s trucks. MY theory is the...

Announcement Power Hungry Performance FICM installed

I got a second FICM off the boards and sent it in to PHP. R&R is like 30-45 minutes so the down time will be determined by your choice of shipping method. I don't know about 3-5MPG gains but I'll post what I get for MPGs. I'd suggest: 1) Getting a second FICM if you can't have the truck...

Announcement Power Hungry Performance FICM installed

Just finished a few test runs with the modded FICM. Initial results show quicker turbo spooling is the biggest gain. I have a SCT tranny tune running with stock PCM tuning. I'll be driving this for some MPG numbers to see if there's any gains. I did try my Xzilliraider on Stage 1 (60hp)and 2...

04 Ford 6.0 Farts when you let of the Throttle

Turbo farts are pretty common for the 6.0, not really an indicator for any major problems.

    serpentine belt

Drain a gallon of coolant from the radiator. Disconnect the radiator hoses on the driver's side, then remove the secondary shroud (w/ the PSD badge). It will pull out with some help. I used a braker bar on the tensioner to get the belt off. Follow the diagram for the routing of the new belt...

    exhaust question

Lift up your skirt and grab'em if you got a pair. Listen I know I'm rollin' the dice but I raced a Bully tuned Dudge:tounge down I-64 for like 5 miles over 80+MPH, hitting 90+MPH at times the whole distance.....NO problems. ;tu

    exhaust question

I run the XCAL 2 using an Elite Insanity file without an EGT gauge with no issues I'm at 78k on the motor....it's all in the additional mods. Suggestion for the exhaust use an MBRP 3.5" DP and cat delete pipe (for off-road use only :innocent) on the stock piping. If you want more whistle cut...

    EGR NO MORE!!!

I have run the unplugged EGR in the past with great results. I now have the "sneaky pipe" in place while using the SCT to disable the EGR function. With the increase in exhaust flow the turbo spools quicker and I can pull hard without flash boiling the coolant. For those willing to bypass...

    High Flow Intake Elbow

I run the Accufab version and have been pleased with the results. Simple, effective and cheap (compared to other mods). I ran it with a Quadzilla module and an SCT both worked great not to mention a port for the boost gauge to get a true reading.

    Question About EGR

To add to the EGR delete options, here's my choice. Remove OEM EGR up-pipe, weld the short "T" that feeds the EGR cooler, remove the small scoop on the inside of the pipe (check your pipe), reinstall pipe, then using the SCT reprogram the PCM for no faults.

    installing an air intake?

Stay with the OEM filter system which is good to 500 HP, and has better filtration to include no turbo warranty issues with picky dealerships. The Cat delete pipe will not gain any HP, but will help lower EGT's when used with a larger downpipe. Yes the MBRP cat delete pipe will bolt into the...
