    Yep, I even wait when its hot out. But thiss issue has been happening all summer (i'm in ohio). I guess I'll try going through all the grounds I can find under the hood.

    Sorry, I thought I did. I'm in an early 99 7.3L 6spd 2wd. Cable connections are great too. It cranks well, but intermittently won't fire. Like I said though, if I turn it off and try again it fires right up. And I did have the cps recall done but that didn't help any.

    Sometimes when I try to start the truck it just cranks without firing. I can crank for a while and its not even trying to fire. But if I turn the ignition off and try again it will start within 2 seconds. Anyone ever experience this?

    Does anyone know where a guide is for changing the fluid , perhaps with pics? Or if i get under there will it be evident where the drain and fill plugs are? Also, how much fluid should i get for a change?

    That might be one way to do it, but I swaer I've replaced those slugs on the upper ball joints because they are keyed to only go in one way from the factory???

    i swapped out inj #1 and that seemed to do it. Runs great now and my mpg went up big time. And, what i thought was a clutch problem turned out to be related to the surging motor. 2 problems down and lovin it.

    I paid to get the buzz and injector contribution tests done. the buzz test came back ok, but cyl #1 isnt contributing. I'm going to swap that injector and see what happens.

    My 99 sounds like that, but it's a 6 speed. It does it any time the clutch pedal isn't pushed to the floor. My GF actually asked me if the truck is broke the other day. I just assumed the trans had some wear on it (177k on the odo), but does anyone else with a manual have this?
