    Simple enough to expain in one word. Money. It is cheaper and easier to pull the kind of power needed to participate in this sport with and engine that is easier to mod due to design and a glut of aftermarket parts. IMHO.

    First off, Welcome o SDD.com. There are a lot of good folks here with a lot of good info for the asking. The first issue would probably be the GPR (Glow Plug Relay). That would cause the issue of hard starting and Blue/White smoke. I am sure someone else will pop in here with how to check it...

    I dont know where the ground is for this on your truck. The VSM and the door locks all us the same ground point acording to my book. You should also check fuse #7 again.     Are there any problems with the interior lights? Does it tell you which door ir open or is it just door ajar dummy light? Sounds like it might be a ground problem with the VSM.

    Who knows where I can get a blutooth wireharness that will work with the mute/phone button on my stock radio. I want to b able to use my phone this way while driving. I just think it is safer than holding it or having something stuck in my ear.
