    Question what trans do i have?

    I have a 03' 6.0, auto, lariat crewcab 4x4 with 130k miles on it. I owned it for a year and want to change the trans fluid on it. Anybody know where can i look for the trans model #. I've heard theres like 3 dif. ones. I can't tell if it's a 4 spd or 5. :confused:

    I have changed the power steering pump and the steering box twice in one year and today power steering out again. any suggestions. My truck is a 03' f-250 6.0, auto, 4x4,lariat,130k miles, 4" lift, 35 bfgs. I've changed the steering box because it had play, took it back for a leak got a new one...

    thanks Ill check on egr. for now i put my stock air filter on and it works great. It doesn't make sense to me, since it's just more air.But i'll replace the egr just to be on safe side, and sell my afe air filter.:dunno

    I have the same problem,03' 6.0, i tried a afe cold air intake and the problem got worse it started to fart and smoke around 2k to 3k rmp. sounds like a misfire on a diesel(weird).:cool:

    thanks for the info. the code reads p2614, camshaft position sensor only. should i change that only,ive read that wiring chafling could be the problem too. i'll see if any signs of that.

    f-250 03 ran fine,went to the beach ran perfect, 2 hours later it did not start,had to get tow truck. turns fine ,checked fuel shut off, disconnected batt. checked fuses,fuel pump,nothing. where should i start?:dunno

    GAVE AND OLD FRIEND A VISIT(HE HAS A SHOP), TOLD ME IT WAS THE STEERING BOX, BECAUSE MY BRAKES ARE O.K TOLD ME TO CHANGE IT OR REBUILT IT. AUTOZONE WANTS 180 PLUS TAX. LIFETIME AND 80 FOR THE PUMP.

    BRAKES ARE THE SAME, I'LL TRY CHANGING THE PUMP, THAT'S MY CHEAPEST OPTION. THANKS FOR THE INFO EVERYBODY. I'LL CHANGE THE PUMP THIS WEEKEND AND LET YOU KNOW IF IT SOLVED MY PROBLEM, FOR NOW I'M STILL DRIVING IT EVERY DAY.

    I FORGOT TO MENTION, TWIN FABTECH STABS 1 MONTH OLD,NO PLAY ON STEERING WHEEL, BALL JOINT O.K NO PLAY, JUST VERY SOFT FEEL ON WHEEL ALL OF A SUDDEN. IN FACT I HAVE TO GRAB THE WHEEL WITH BOTH HANDS OR IT WILL GO PAST TO THE OTHER SIDE WHEN TURNING.

    I install it on my 03' , it makes a weird noise when you let go of the pedal, and also notice less power, and a cough when accelerating hard. Anybody have a clue! I went back to the original,and it seems fine.
