3-4 Month Road Trip (maybe more)

Oregon is at the top of my list of places to visit. Not only for the trails and dunes, but I may also want to move there. That is also what that trip will be for, finding a new place to live.

Question Why should I get a better HPOP and whose should I buy?

That is what I am going through now. This truck should have a lot more power than it does. When I stand on it, all I get is enough smoke to black out eight lanes of atlanta highway and no real power.

Question Why should I get a better HPOP and whose should I buy?

I have heard that the next upgrade I should perform on my truck is a better high pressure oil pump. Why is this a wise purchase and who should I buy one through? Also, what does the HPOP have to do with my fuel system? Are there any other upgrades I should perform with the installation of a new...

Oh, I have bought stuff from them before. I do not think they offer any big truck items. I called them a while back for some stuff on the cummins conversion I am going to do to my wifes' truck and they had no idea what I was refering to.

I have looked at those engines for another possible biuld. For their size, they put out respectable power. I just looked at some photographs of a DT466 in a early 90's F350. Considering the frame I plan to use, i think I could get it to fit a lot easier than that guy did. Teh only issue is I...

Can that engine really put out the power I am looking for? If so, how long would it old together, and would I not get similar power from a bigger engine with out those kind of mods?

I think I used the wrong number. It was a non electonic version. The 7.3 that ford used prior to the Powerstroke. Would that be a T444? The engine I was going to use was a 7.3 and from an international school bus. But it did not have any electronics.

I see your point. As I said before, I am new to this side of the house. Perhaps I should look a little deeper. My original choice was a 7.3 (T444E I think?) out of a school bus. I wonder what kind of Real world power I can get out of one of those. Bythe way, we just bought this...
