Is it bad not to have any? I get my normal startup cloud but nothing that I can see in my mirror when I get on the pipe. Not that I want to smoke anyone out but...

Trailer brake controller change (just a comment)

Interesting to see I'm not the only one who had issues with the Jordan. I'm going to have to save a few more pennies before I get a BrakeSmart installed. We're going to a penning this Thursday so I'll find out how the Prodigy l works then. The only thing I'm concerned with is settiing it up. I...

Trailer brake controller change (just a comment)

Well after messing with the tension forever (or so it seems) I've pulled the Jordan controller out and replaced it with a Prodigy. I really liked the idea of the Jordan but I couldn't get it to stop binding up. As soon as I got it adjusted to come on with the truck brakes, it wouldn't release...

    Brakes

I went to the dealer and got OEM pads for the front. I got almost 100k on the front and that's with towing a horse trailer 4 times a week. I still have the rear shoes on at 164K and I'm still towing at least twice a week. When the rears are due, I'll get the shoes from the dealer. I don't care...

    Falling on it's face

Here's an update on my "problem". I'm just about sure it's operator error now. I hit the same on ramp this weekend and payed more attention to how I came out of the turn. I came out a little hotter on the throttle and it didn't seem to lose as much power so I'm thinking I was a little to light...

    So when do

No problem...I was just mostly curious...I guess I've been called worse things than a junior member  . :D

    So when do

I move from being a junior member? If it's based on posts I'll have to start asking alot of questions to pad it up if that's the case... Why wait...So why don't the raison's in my oatmeal turn back to grapes when they swell up? Ya ever notice that when toast falls it's always peanut...

    Falling on it's face

The rebuild on the tranny is just over a year old. New and upgraded everything. I hope the TC isn't taking a dump...guess I'll head back to the tranny shop and see what they say. Thanks for the info Ron

    Falling on it's face

Bill, how do you keep the TC from locking up? Where it really falls down is on a clover leaf type on-ramp. Theres one here you can only take (at least with the horses loaded) at about 25/30 mph. It's up hill and short. Normally I'm coming out with the O/D off and as soon as I get straight I'm on...

    Falling on it's face

Ok, thanks for the reply. At least I'm not alone...I'm going to go back to the guy that rebuilt my tranny and see what he says. Maybe he'll have an idea or two also. Thanks

    Falling on it's face

This question could maybe go in a couple other places but since it really happens when I'm towing I'll start it here. I've began to really notice or rather it's starting to get to me, that when the TC locks up the truck just falls on it's face. I mean it really drops in power. I had the horse...

    So what number am I?

I'm sure I missed it somewhere but what is my member number? Just curious considering we live by what number we are...you know drivers license, SSN, super shopper...I was #1200 "over there". I guess it's just a need to know. :thanks Ron

    Amateur radio/scanner stuff...

Thanks for the referral. It looks like a great site :thanks . I'm trying to get the nerve up to mount the antenna on the roof. The magmount was a quick fix for my handheld cause of the area I work in. The hand held antenna just wouldn't get out and hit the repeater we use. Ron
