    Speed sensor codes

It's all been done. Changed out the rear lube and cleaned the houseing. When I switched out the rear sensor the last time I looked for metal but everything was clean. All the wires were traced and none are chafed, chewed or rotten. We're beginning to think its the PSOM. When I went into the...

    Speed sensor codes

Ok here's the lastest in the on going saga of what I thought was a wednesday built truck cause nothing was ever going wrong with it... It started shifting really hard, rev up and slam into 2nd, then it would run the gears up to high in 15 or so feet. I had the tranny rebuilt a while back so...

    Fuel tank

Interesting ideas...I'm going to look at them all and see what I come up with. We're going to pull both tanks and go over them but now I think I'll check the entire fuel system out too. I got just about everyone here I know scratching their heads on what's going on. I can't imagine over time...

    Fuel tank

We're not sure where it came from. When I went back to PacPride about it they pulled the monitor printouts and they showed zero water in the tanks the night I fueled up. And so far since the last issue I posted about ( when the truck stopped running from all the water) we've pulled over a gallon...

    Fuel tank

How much do you think the bed weighs? I have a New Holland TC18 tractor with a front loader on it I wonder if it would pick it up? Maybe I could talk my bil into helping again. He may of forgotten about the front bushings by now...Either way I'm sure it'll be fun... Thanks for the options Ron

    Fuel tank

How hard is it to remove the fuel tanks on these monsters? I have to pull the front one first and drain the water out of it unless there's an easier way to suck them dry... then next week the rear tank will be dropped... Thanks guys Ron

    Smoke upon startup

Mine has done it since I brought it home. Within 100 feet of leaving the driveway it's gone, oil is always up and with the cold snap we had a while back even with new gp's I had some. If it's gone within minutes I wouldnt' worry. Enjoy your new truck :thumbs

    Spring bushings - complete

Just finished changing out the front spring bushings. Took just about 2 hours to do. We were waiting months cause my BIL (who owns the shop) was nervous about the spring tweak when you lift the truck up. So we put a floor jack under the hub and pulled the spring pack out. That made it much...

    A tragedy on I-65 South

Phone or not I can see how that can happen with that Liberty. The wife has one and the steering on it is so quick it almost scares me at freeway speed. Any little tweak of the wheel and it's heading in that direction.

    Any Steelheaders?

I stood in the Toutle, the Green and just about every other river on the wet side here with my dad during the 60's and never got nothing but the sniffles. My steelhead outfit has been hanging in his garage since '71 when my uncle sam decided he needed my help... Good job :thumbs

Crumm, not yet. Putting the slide hammer to it today. We let it soak overnight again. I do not plan on pulling that head. I'll take it out in pieces through the injector hole first...

    DOA

That seems to be an issue also. When I dumped the fuel bowl, I guess I didn't look close enough. We pulled the top and the filter and it's full of crud/pudding/gell stuff. I'm guessing it couldn't be good for the injectors if it was being pushed through. I had just changed the filter out the...

    Underhood critters

Update Well, one thing happened that was good this weekend. I got one of the little buggers eating the hoses from the jeep :sweet . Baited the live trap with peanutbutter and got me a rat about the size of your fist. Used my trusty Gamo P23 pistol to send him home... One down and hopefully no...

Thanks for the responses guys, I'm positive it was the green pump. It happened to fast that I don't think any of the fresh fuel would have hit the engine yet. I'm talking a mile and a half and I was pulled over and parked. Dumped a good stream out of the fuel bowl and it looked clear no water. I...
