    Question Pro's and Con's of the F-550

I can't think of any cons except for higher registration because of the weight rating. Only other thing would be the ride but you say you're not too worried about that, so nothin I can think of. Power windows shouldn't bee too bad to add. Napa window motors and a few slight door modding may be...

    DIY Tymar+water??

I'm gonna do a diy tymar on my truck, but before I did I wanted to ask anybody if they've had a problem with a water logged filter. I live in PA where we get snow and decent amounts of rain in the summer. I also plow with it in the winter. I was just wondering if anybody's had a problem with a...

you could go with a 6 spd. Low end torque and then highway gears at the upper end

    Lope Idle

:lmao That's true, never thoguht about that. Although, so does the 4 inches of exhaust pipe right in their face at a stop light and then the smoke when I mash it.:stir

    Engine Brake

x2. The torque converter is unlockin when you're goin down the hill because of the speed and light load on the truck. I would put a TC lock-up controller on it, and I'd even do the mod to make your EBPV and exhaust brake. Oh and yes, exhaust brakes ARE DIFFERENT from engine brakes. Engine brakes...

Looking for information on a Detroit 318.

That'd be a safe bet. It'll probably fit the best. We have one on a stand at the shop that runs like a champ. LOUD. My uncle has a 1971 fire truck that has a 8v71 and it runs great. Loud too. Detroit makes a great motor. I think that one on E-bay is a good deal if it runs, but like Dave said...

    SMART CAR's are pretty tough...

That's pretty impressive, but I'll stick with my truck seeing as how that thng probably can't tow 10,000 pounds or haul a ton of junk in the back. Not bad though. I saw one in person and the body panels are all plastic. The guy sai he can change the color in 3 hrs. in his driveway by replacing...

    Truck almost undrivable Clutch Grabs

SunCoast, Val-Air, and LUK all make good clutches. You just have to make sure to get one that will hold the power level that your truck is putting out.

    Deep Cycle Batteries

I have Mega-Trons on my truck and run stereo from time to time W/O truck on, and a snowplow in the winter. No problems. I'd put another set in it.

    how much kitty litter...

That's along the same lines as cops speeding, turning with out signaling, and all the other good stuff that some of the cops I've seen around here do, that they would pull any "normal" person over for in a heartbeat. Not to bust on cops, but you get the idea. Did you tell the guy about it?
