    PLUG IT IN ??

Yeah, you will use excessive electricity though. A few hours before you start is often enough to help. Someone will be by shortly to post links to their timer setup for their block heater.

    SUB BOX LOCATION PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what I have come up with. The box would go behind the rear seat on the passenger side. The piece of plywood on the other side is where I have other stuff mounted, amp, inverter, terminal strips for lights, etc. The box works out to 0.685 cubic foot, that's with the backing ring...

SuperDuty Tow & Transport Pics (What Are You Pulling Out There)

Here's what I was pulling back home from Nebraska this week. It weighs about 12K, and about 5% of that on the tongue. Not quite enough I think. Couldn't go much faster than 55 ever. The 53" Michelins were probably not very balanced either, adding to the swaying. 750 miles. A hair under 9...

    HPOP Fitting Failure

Yeah, I was pleased. He said Ford pays 8 hours labor, and he said it was possible to do it in 1/2 that. And he was just finishing up another job when I got there. I see I can edit the post to get rid of the angry icon too. Man, all my problems are solved now!

    HPOP Fitting Failure

How did the angry icon get assigned to this thread? I don't think I clicked on it. If so, I didn't mean too, I'm not mad or anything, it wasn't that big of a deal.

    HPOP Fitting Failure

Got it all back together and back on the road. I was fueled and hooked back up and on the road at 1 o clock. It died on me at 3 the day before. Took quite a while, but what can you do. He also replaced the EGR cooler coolant hose, as it was starting to leak. Threw in a new dipstick for the...

Where to buy 2008 differential cover?

You guys are half correct. The fins allow for more surface area for the heat to be "dissipated" to the surrounding air. Also, the aluminum is better at exchanging heat than steel, steel will hold allot of the heat in itself for a longer time. Aluminum will take on the heat of the oil faster...

Limited Slip... lets be clear on this issue

Eaton makes an electric locker now too, haven't heard much about it though. Don't need an air source and a solenoid to activate it.

    What is your Fuel Economy?

So how is a motor (6.0, 7.3) that gets 50% better mileage than a 6.4 polluting more than an inefficient pig with a DPF?

    HPOP Fitting Failure

He seemed like a pretty competent tech, he knew what the problem was right away, and was going to get started. He said he had the bracket kit in stock. I'm kinda stuck here, and there's not an IH dealer anywhere close by. So I will just have to go with this fix.

    WARRANTY

I had all my badges replaced on my truck when it had 35,*** on it. Shoulda had them replace the oval on the grille too, it's starting to look weathered too.

    Reflashing For Tire Size

Well, all the radar signs I passed today where dead on accurate with my speedometer. Using mile markers along the way, I get 1 mile of error in 20 miles of driving.

    SUB BOX LOCATION PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a box drawn up in 3D at home I will post later. 0.68 cubic foot! Whoo hoo. I don't need the storage too much back there, I've got a toolbox.

    HPOP Fitting Failure

I was towing a very large trailer without brakes into Great Bend, Kansas. I was slowing down for the first stoplight. The engine died (at 10 MPH, fortunately) and would not re-start. Turned over fine, just no fire. I put in an extra 2 gallons of diesel, changed fuel filters, all while...

    SUB BOX LOCATION PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm planning to use a Kenwood Excelon sub behind my seat. It's not very deep either. Amp mounted on the rear wall as well.

    $12,000.....

How high are you guys jacking up the trailer if it hits the tailgate? I just clear the ball when unhooking, that way the hitch will only hit the bumper, or the lisence plate if you go too far.

    For the RV Transporters

I'm 6'5" and I've slept in the back seat of my truck. Not very comfortable, don't wake up too refreshed in the morning. I'd sooner sleep in the front seats with them reclined back as far as possible. That or a hotel.....

    got weighed today

Mine weighed 7400 on our scales the other day, and that was with a nearly empty tank of fuel.

    How to remove clearcoat?

If it's going to be a while until you spray the liner, you can wet sand the clear down to look better than that, for sure.

    2008 Tweeter

Ah, yes, water. Forgot about that one. It's always the first place to get wet with the window down or the door open. My A pillar is crowded with 4 gauge pods. I will probably end up with something along the lines of your install, nothing wrong with that. Or the 2008 panels. Too bad they...
