    lock actuators going nuts!

Well you have some crossed wire or something along those lines somewhere. What gauges did you install, and where did you wire them to? What year of truck are we dealing with?

    filter replacement time

The HFCM needs a 6mm allen wrench. Yall aughta put one of these on your HFCM, instead of the silly allen head plug that's in there now. FDDTS - HFCM Water Separator Drain Plug Upgrade The ford number is 6E7Z-9C082-A, but most can't locate it, I bought it for less than $12 at...

    woo-hoo!!!

I bought my gauges from here: ISSPRO Gauges from egauges.com They have tons of them availible, and great prices too. I went with Oil Pressure, Volts, EGT (pre turbo) and a dual needle air pressure guages I'm gonna use for my onboard air and airbags in the future.

    Oil Guard has been sold

Poke around on Ebay and you can find some Racor filters that are the same, I'm not sure what the model number crosses over to right now, but you should be able to find it fairly easily.

    Low Speed Cruise Control

No, the pedal doesn't go down, not sure why I thought it did. Just one of my brain farts again.

    Low Speed Cruise Control

Let me see if it does, but I thought it did, I'll get back to you.

    Low Speed Cruise Control

Actually I also attribute it to the electonic pedal deally wopper. It's getting to be that way in alot of things, loaders tractors, etc. They are all quite touchy. At least on the PSD if you use cruise the pedal stays sucked in so you dont have to stomp on it all the way and guess where it...

    Low Speed Cruise Control

Is there a mod that would make the cruise control work at any speed, particularly less than 5 or 10 MPH? When traveling over very rough ground, it's tricky to keep the throttle constant, as your foot is bouncing all over the place. Or how about wiring a switch to idle up while in gear...

    Oil and Fuel pressures

You need the fittings like this picture, that way you can tap into the factory oil pressure sending location. That starts with a Male #4 to 1/4 SAE female swivel. Then a 1/4 nipple and T. On the side of T put a 1/4 NPT male by #4 Female O ring seat the thread your factory sender into. Then...

    Upfitter Switch Look-alike

Thanks, I'm not sure I like the switches with a black panel with white text as much as a white panel with black text. I do think I will just have to incorporate the Contura style switch into my project, they are dang good switches. Anybody make custom inserts for the actuators?

    PICS: radar detector mounting

Thanks for the great post. The cubby hole for me isn't an option right now as I have my upfitters mounted there. But perhaps when I get some more of my electrical mods done, I might scrap the upfitters, and use the wiring harness from them to Carlings, and then I could put the display in the...

    Upfitter Switch Look-alike

Does anyone know of a switch that sort of matches the factory upfitters in appearance/operation? A paddle type switch of similar style? I really like Carling Contura II's, I push them all day in our Caterpillar loaders, but I want something that matches the upfitters. Or, has anyone replaced...

    PICS: radar detector mounting

Nice install. I have been toying with the idea of doing the same thing, but mounting it in my dash, above the HVAC vent to the right of the steering wheel. ('05 F250) How did you mount it to the dash, epoxy, etc? I currently have my V1 mounted right above my rearview mirror. Wired to an...

    Engine Coolant "Mods"

Thanks for the offer, but I'm gonna poke around a little bit longer before I make up my mind.

    Engine Coolant "Mods"

Supplemental Coolant Additive. It's used on alot of systems with green fluid, to keep the test strips coming back like one wants them. You can either add it in a liquid form or through a filter with it in there, the filter might be a better route, as it slowly disperses them, rather than all...

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Why do you need a T if you go into the drain plug opening? Can't you just install a swivel fitting and un hook the hose and have the oil drain out that way? Here's a link to an install, and his leaked at first through the drain plug gasket. FS-2500 - OA - Costs - 06-F-350 6.0 Diesel

    Engine Coolant "Mods"

I see, as I figured on pretty much most parts. I don't mind piecing things together, I have good industrial suppliers, a shop, and a pretty good hardware inventory. I'll let you know what I end up doing.

    Engine Coolant "Mods"

I am going to put a coolant filter on my 2005 6.0. Am I correct that I do not want to run a filter with SCA's in it? Is the dieselsite setup worth the 120 bucks? How about 80 bucks for the SP Diesel one? Or just piece it together from the parts store? Where can I find a 203° thermostat...

Who do you use for Oil Analysis???

I get my samples run for 13 dollars through local Caterpillar dealer. I don't know how many you need to buy for this price, i usually order 10 at a time. Our extended waranty Cat machines get free samples for 5000 hours, on everything, engine, trans, hydraulic, and both diferentials. Give...

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Gotcha, I had an inkling thats what you were talking about, but not sure. How do you feel about putting the hollow bolt setup in the oil pan for the return line of a bypass fillter? Or would you rather go into the oil filler cap?

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

http://www.amsoil.com/bypassfilters/2005_ford_6.0/index.aspx I always knew amsoil would be good for something. Yeah, they are T'ing off of the factory oil pressure switch location to run their bypass filtration. I am thinking of doing something similar to run my pressure sender. What...

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Allright, I found this now: http://www.amsoil.com/bypassfilters/2004_ford_diesel/index.aspx That should also do the trick for me. But feel free to post about other people's plumbing!

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

So where are other 6.0 folks running their oil pressure sender? I have even had an Isspro engineeer tell me he would get back to me on a location for it, but I've never heard anything back from him.

Aftermarket Engine Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Where is a good place to mount an oil pressure sender on an 05 6.0? I've seen guys run out of the top of the oil filter lid, but that method doesn't appeal to me too much. Where else do people go? Does anyone use the test port on the filter base? If so, what thread is it? Also, does...

    Leaking Torqshift

Yup, Gene Messer Ford isn't a bad dealership to work with, sales and service. I dropped my truck off there on a friday afternoon, and the guy I had spoke to on the phone breifly wasn't in anymore. He called the next week, when they had found the cracked case to be the cause, and I simply...
