Fun new toy, or the begining of the end???

That thing is going to give me nightmares. It has great dexterity and balance, but almost spooky to watch.

    Video Editing Software

My hard drive camera is about full so I figure it is time to get these videos onto some DVD's. Does anyone have any recommendations on video editing software? I am by no means a computer or video guru, but I can figure things out pretty quickly. I am not looking for the cheapest or anything...

TC lock and EBPV on/off switch mods

I read a while ago that the EBPV can be used as a kinda/sorta exhaust brake. I know that I need to do the TC lockup mod and was just wondering if anyone had any info or links for how to do these mods? Thanks

Question Are there any firefighters on here?

First, have you checked with a FD in your area that you might want to go to work for? They will have all the answers you need regarding what they require for education. At a minimum, you will probably have to get your Firefighter 1 certificate and your EMT-basic certificate. Both of these...

    Worst mileage ever!!

Took a trip this weekend to Temple, TX. Little over 350 miles one way. 13.6 MPG. I couldnt believe it. I knew it would be bad because I was fighting a 30+mph headwind the whole way, but I didnt think it would be that horrible. We headed home Saturday afternoon, and sure enough, a 30+mph...

    Help with business plan

I found a template that will guide me through it. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on how it should look or read. I am continuing to be an Estimator. But now, not only will I be estimating demolition jobs, but I will also be estimating deconstruction (not the same as demolition)...

    AIC

I want to put an AIC in my truck. Does anybody have a write up and pictures (I am a visual guy) how to do this? I checked some out in the 94-97forum, but not sure if they are the same procedures. Thanks.

    Tymar+blue cps=great MPG's

When I got home, the odo said 4,229 miles. Gallons used is hard to tell because I was filling my aux. tank. I have filled it twice and there is still a little left in it. I figured I used between 190-200 gallons. 4,229/195= 21.687

    Tymar+blue cps=great MPG's

I built my tymar an installed the blue cps just before the new year. Since then, I have been to California and Colorado. A little over 4,000 miles. I reset my overhead before leaving for Cali and havent touched it since. Prior to making the mods, I averaged 17.1 mpg combined. With the mods...

    #%@&#%& Friday the 13th Delayed

I feel for ya, but got you beat. Friday cost me over $110,000. My driver that was delivering an oversized load hit an unmarked bridge, destroyed crate but the load was untouched. - $11,000 for new crate. Got to the port, crane operator swung chains into the side of my Pete. Driver...

    Blue CPS

The only difference I can tell with mine is the fuel mileage. 21.0 @ 80mph 23.2 @ 70mph 23.6 @ 65mph 25.6 @ 45-60 following an oversize load that I was escorting. These numbers are up by about 3 mpg across the board. I cant say that the blue CPS did it all, I did add a tymar intake at...

    MPG test

Great MPG's!!! Well, I got off to a late start. Left yesterday from Andrews, TX over the backroads and the Guadalupe Pass to El Paso. From there we continued to the NM Arizona border. Get this 25.6 mpg!! Granted I was following a giant box that moved most of the air and we averaged about 60...

    Blue CPS

I just put mine in last Friday, I have only put 100 miles on since then but so far can't really tell a difference. Maybe because I'm just worried about the placebo affect. I will give it about a month so I can get used to it then I will throw the old one in and see if I can tell the...

    Power steering issues!

Mine will never turn when stopped let alone on the brakes. It's due to the design of the front axle. When you turn the front tires, they have to roll slightly because of the scrub radius. Try this: turn your wheels all the way to one side, mark the area of the tire where it makes contact with...

6.0 intercooler and a upgraded CPS

Got the blue CPS in now. Cant really comment on its affects as I only took it for a spin around the house. My trip to Cali. got pushed back a few days, so I might have time to do some testing on this thing. I did get my tymar intake done today. Sounds great, doesnt feel any different than...

    MPG test

Your lift, tires and possibly gearing are all affecting your mileage. With the addition of larger tires, you increase wind drag and rolling resistance. The lift changed the airflow under the vehicle, thus creating drag from your undercarraige components. You gearing is making it more...

    Fuel gauge stuck

Drove about 80 miles today in town. (searching out parts for my new tymar:D ) It took all of those 80 miles to make the gauge move. The weird thing was, it came up SLOWLY. It never made a rapid return to the full position. Oh well, it's works now.

    Fuel gauge stuck

I figured that it was just stuck. There are plenty of bumpy roads on the way to work. I will report back my findings tomorrow.

    Fuel gauge stuck

Filled up tonight, got back in the truck, fired it up and the fuel gauge stayed on 1/8. Right where it was when I pulled into the gas station. My overhead is working correctly, but my low fuel light is still on. First time this has ever happened. Any ideas? Thanks

    MPG test

It was the previous owners fault, I swear! I cant keep my butt out of that truck, I bought it in June. It only had 40K on it then. I wish I could stick to the "industry average" of 15K per year, but with a Ford Superduty PSD, that just wont happen!!!

    MPG test

Starting on Dec. 29th, I will be escorting a load from Tulsa, OK to San Diego. We will probably average 60 mph on the highway. I then return alone to Tulsa to meet a truck headed to Abilene, TX. On the way back from San Diego, I will probably average 70 mph on the highway. I Know it has been...
