    Installing my Prodigy was a little trickier than just "plugging it in" but definitely not worth $100. I had to lay upside down on the front seats with my legs in the back seat for 20 minutes trying to fanangle that thing in there!

    I feel like an idiot for asking this, but what all is involved in taking the valve covers off?? I've rebuilt t-cases, done a bunch of fab work, suspension work, axles, all sorts of crap, but never done more to an engine than install intakes, change the oil, and change out basic sensors...

    The light ONLY comes on when the truck is running rough, as soon as the truck smooths out, light goes off.

    So I actually have to remove the valve covers to get in there and repair this??? I pulled on the harness a little bit and the engine definitely smoothed out, but I couldn't see if it was taking the SES light off as well as I was doing it all by myself in the parking lot at work.

    Anyone?? How about at least a description of where this harness is? Trucks running like crap, and apparently my code reader doesn't work with the truck as it didn't pull any codes.

    I use a Tekonsha Prodigy. Got it off eBay for like $90 if I remember right. On my Super Duty there was a harness I could buy for it, total plug and play operation, dunno for your truck though.

    Anybody got a picture of where these actually are? I've got the SES light, runs rough for a few, then it goes away and it's fine. The light comes on and off rather quickly sometimes, so that would be consistent with a loose wiring harness. I'm gonna go take a peek under the hood and see...

    I've contemplated rigging up a hand throttle for my Jeep, but that's a little easier application as its EFI and I'd just have to rig a cable to the throttle body. EDIT: I know in my Jeep too I can very easily maintain 5-10 mph by just kicking it into 4Lo and idling.

    Wheel spacers?

    I use spacers from Spidertrax Off-Road on my Jeep. Make sure you get a good quality spacer. Lots of the cheap ones fail on 4k lb Jeeps, would imagine they'd fail a LOT faster on an F350.

    Definitely would be doing the work myself. I haven't paid anyone to do anything more than an oil change or alignment in years. Probably add some jimmy jammers too or whatever they're called. Is it safe to assume right away that it is the actuators? Rear pass does nothing at all, front pass...

    I run the Stillen cross drilled on my Jeep, had 'em on for like 6 years now. Been very happy with them there, and have thought about doing a similar upgrade on the truck when the time comes, especially with all of the towing I will be doing in the mountains.
