    Which gauges

That's the problem. In example, oil pressure will read normal with anything over about 6psi, anything less and it's pegged at the bottom. Volts, not really sure since most people don't pay attention to that thing anyway. Water temp is way to slow to be accurate. I've seen my ISSPRO water temp...

    Which gauges

I have in this order from the top, fuel press, pyro, boost, water temp. ISSPRO black face red pointers. The look sweet. BTW, you'd be suprized how hot the 6-speed actually gets. I'm eventually going to get the overhead pod for oil press, oil temp, trans temp, and haven't decided on the last...

    35s on a 6" lift

I would think so. If most people with 4X4s can clear 35s with a 4", you should be able to clear with a 6" on a 2wd. Isn't there only a couple inches difference in height between a 2wd and a 4wd?

    fan noise?

If it does it excessively, then I'd have them look at the oil cooler. If the truck detects a large difference between the coolant temp and the oil temp, it will cause the fan to run a lot more than it normally would.

    While it's out.....

Nobody has an opinion on this? I did find out that the ICP sensor will cost me $107 from the dealer to btw. Anybody know a part # for the 03 ICP sensor so I can try to find it online?

    Intake modification Question

The latest flashes remove the butterfly valve from the system. The only way you'll throw a code is if you have an early flash (which I highly doubt many people have) and if that's the case then you remove the electronic thing from the old valve assy and just plug it up. Here's a complete writeup...

    ELECTRIC FAN FOR 6.0??

Flex-a-lite has a replacement fan for the 7.3 that will bolt right up with some minor mouting point modifications. Ford PowerStroke Diesel A few points to consider first: 1. You stock fan almost never kicks on. The only time I've ever heard mine on is when it's close to 100 outside and I'm...

    Intake modification Question

My suggestion would be to remove the entire butterfly valve assy, and replace it with an 05+ elbow. It'll bolt right in place and give you a much better airflow. Especially if you get an aftermarket elbow.

    While it's out.....

I finally toasted the clutch in my 03. I'm installing a Southbend 8FB sometime next week. I'm going to be doing the EGR blockoff at the same time since it'll be so much easier to get to. What els should I do while it's out? I thought about changing the ICP sensor since it's a beast to get to...

This may be a dumb question?

Most people seem to like the 03 models. I can't comment on which is better.

Oil pressure gauge Installation help needed

It took me a while to find it as well. http://www.superdutydiesel.com/forums/accessories-aftermarket/6804-oil-fuel-pressures.html

    Air filter "gauge"

You'll need to change the filter way before the filter minder turns yellow, and way before the light illuminates. It's just there as a last resort. IE if you were running in dirt fields all day and the filter got COMPLETELY plugged the light would go off.

This may be a dumb question?

03s had a different turbo on them. It was changed for 04s and then changed again for 05+ trucks. If you want that whistle then you'll have to get an 03 turbo and put it on your truck.

    Gauges?

The most popular analog gauges are from ISSPRO and Autometer. I currently run the ISSPRO gauges since I think they match the factory cluster better. I'm not a big fan of digital gauges. They're hard to read at a glance. I like to be able to read the gauges without actually concentrating on...

    Towing mirrors?? Need help!!!!

If yours doesn't have lighted mirrors, then the plug might not be there. Most of the stuff is plug and play on these trucks, however, where exactly did they stop the wires at?:dunno Best thing I would think to do would be to pull yours off and see if you even have the plug pre-installed. It...

have an 04 f250 that is a dog

I agree with the past 2 posts. Sounds like you have some sort of power issue. I hate to say it, but maybe you need a re-flash. As far as tuners, the most powerful tunes can only be done with one of the SCT devices. Either the XCal 2 or the Livewire. I currently run the livewire with tunes from...

What's Going On Under The Hood???

You're talking about 2 different oil systems BTW. You'll never see 500 psi out of the low pressure system. And I agree 100% about the egr issue. Why don't you pull the EGR and clean it? It's super easy to do. Remove the 2 bolts and pull it out. And as far as leaving it unplugged, my 03 didn't...

    interior mod

I don't think the head liner itself will hold the weight. You'd have to screw into the cab itself. There should be 2 layers of metal on top. You might be able to see if you remove your dome light assy. My guess is that you'd have to get some short sheet metal screws and go through the bottom...

    Transfer Tanks

If you look up under the bed of the truck where the spare tire goes you'll see the big X looking thing that holds the winch assy. That would have to be removed completely. Which would leave NO lateral support between the frame rails. However, to compensate for this, the Ex has two other...

    Head stud help

It can be done without removing the cab or the motor. It's just a little tight. Clicky here for proof.

    Transfer Tanks

I had the idea of removing the spare tire and associated carrier assy, and mounting the fuel tank from an excursion in it's location. You'd have to re-support the rear frame section with some more cross-braces. I don't see any reason why you couldn't find a wrecked excursion somewhere, remove...

    Problems since 06E17 Recall

Could it be like an 06E17 verision 2? Maybe ford calls the flashes the same thing. But I am sure of the two different versions.

    first mod????

Basicaly you get 3/8 OD 1/4 ID clear poly/vinyl hose from Lowes. I bought 65 ft and had about 5 feet left over (crew cab) for about $12. Then remove the door seals, soap the hose with dish soap, and snake it into the door seal, then reinstall. It realy helps with the wind/road noise. The only...

    Problems since 06E17 Recall

The 06E17 isn't the latest flash. That was the previous one with the injector shutdown buzz. There's a new one that doesn't buzz at shutdown. It does some sort of "inductive heating" before you start. If you got the buzz maybe you should have it re-flashed to the new one. I've had the 06E17...

    first mod????

It just dumps out by the trans. No filters. I'm thinking about trying to weld a bung into the down pipe and use the venturi thing to send it out that way. I just haven't got to it yet. I think that the ISSPRO gauges match the factor cluster better. Black face red pointer series. That's what...
