    Yes basically same as 7.3 it is your exhaust backpressure sensor, what it does is measure what kind of ebp is being put out by engine and inputs that into pcm and pcm uses it to adjust the vanes in turbo for optimum performance and efficiency.

    i think u are confused the ep tube runs to the manifold take a closer look. the last pic u showed looks like the dipstick. look closer and follow the lines up both the ep tube and the oil stick tube run kind of close together

    that looks like your exhaust back pressure sensor tube. the line if you trace it should go down to your manifold and connect down there as well, before connecting tube back up clean it and make sure no blockages are present inside tube before hooking it back up

    That is exactly right atleast thats wow I check em made my own fitting to screw into filter housing. I'm glad this topic came up b/c I have been thinking about if I should do this mod to my truck now it looks like I have all the info needed to do it.
