    I guess its from the heat because i replaced 2 on my 03! At first i though maybe there was somekind of animal chewing on it,but after changing it twice the only thing that i could think of is all the heat from the engine.

    High engine OIL temp

    Wish i can help on the normal oil temp,I stil dont have one in my 6.0.Altough i was looking into the ottomind because i do alot of hauling.Is it worth the money or not. As for the oil temp Im sure other guys here can answer your question.:)

    I agree with bushpilot.Black smoke is wasted fuel!That is hp you can see but not able to use!And as far as putting a plactic bag over your air filter,your just hurtting your engine.

    Idler Pulley(s)

    Heres a # for the 7.3 f8uz-6b209-ca, I'm not able to find the # for the 6.0. They are not the same 6.0 pulleys are a little off set and 7.3 are side by side. You can try directfordparts.com if your not in a hurry. I hope this can help.

    I'll put some picture up as soon as i can. And as far as the spacers,they are coil spring spacers that go on the bottom of the coil.The ones I have are made by DAYSTAR.You can find them in the diesel mag. You might need an alignment if you decide to put them on your truck.
