    about a month after i installed my exhaust, i noticed a popping sound. it was my exhaust setting on my transmission crossmember bolt. just a shot in the dark. don't give up on it. youll find out what it is.

    yes, it may only be minor grinding. i know when i put 6X9's in my ranger, i had to whip out the metal saw and did quite a bit of hacking to get them to fit. same deal there: 6x9 into a 6x8 hole. i really wish ford didnt make such an oddball speaker size! hope it works out for you and keep us posted.

    The OEM speakers are 6x8. 5x7's will fit as well. some 6x9's will fit depending on the basket design. i have 6x9 polk audio momo's and they will not fit.
