Hey guyash01, have you tried checking the lines going out of the fuel filter? One time I found a piece of soot build up blocking the line. Always check the filter housing closely. Good luck
I am running the power pup. Haven't done the head studs yet but I watch my egts close and my injector pressure. Also my engine temp and tranny temp. Just be careful and don't drive it into the ground.
Speaking from experience.. On my way back from a vacation in South Carolina, my steering box dropped the pitman arm shaft while taking a off ramp.. little on the scary side with the family in the truck.
Hey Brian, always check the front axle...brakes,hubs, u-joints/ Oil pan for rust/ any severe oil leaks on top and underside of engine. If the first owner took care of the truck, the truck should have many years of dedicated service too give to you.
I agree, unless your stealing fuel from junk vehicles that have been sitting for a couple years... bad fuel is total BS. I have seen the egr's coke up bad, but not time after time and so soon.
Dug into a problem with my dash selector for defrost/ air switch. Found out my vacuum assist pump went bad about 4 monthes + ago because of my unused and plugged vacuum lines for my nonexistent auto lock hubs... nice to have ac that blows out the dash vents and not the defrost vents.. Charged...
The truck was not cranking and no fuel. I say that in the past tense because after getting back from the dealer that couldn't find a problem, driving to work the next day, the lift pump failed, starved the injectors, and dropped the injectors into cylinders 4 and 7. By the time I could a place to...
My work truck is a 09 F-350 with the 6.4 and I have been having a problem on these last two days with the truck not starting in the middle of the day( temps been over 95). My boss is saying he had this problem before and that the stealership told him that the truck was bound for California but...
Question... Has anyone installed these after the fact. They were not factory and I would love to add them on. My plans for use would be air compressor, work spot lights, propane inject., and power invertor. Any thoughts on my question would be great.
was looking at a EGR delete for mine. I was having a problem wrapping my head around the whole procedure until I took my ipod touch under the hood and fired up the WIFI vidieos. Delete here I come.
I got a handed down '09 f-350 crew cab diesel 4x4 8' bed ... not many extras... but I got a fuel card, ya baby and a fleet mechanic. The driver before me was the boss man and man did he baby it.:sweet ;tu
The dynatrac system is great. The hub conversion is a must, it's the difference between tearing threw the muck and getting stuck due to vacuum. The look on my wife's face when I brought home that system was less than pleased and I hade plenty of time in the garage to install it. Ha Ha.
A 4" will let you get away with no mods at all, everything is included in the kit, 6" will lead you to wanting to upgrade things for a better ride and more suspension travel, but you can still get away without serious mods.
My Dynatrac system replaces alot of the draglink connectors and replaces them with a ball pivot system, big difference in the way it rides and I get more travel out of the front suspension. I have the seperate wheel bearings that are more pricey.I don't have them but my buddy does and they are...
