Removing it is fairly straightforward. The bottom hose clamp can sometime be rotated around to allow it to be loosened if for some reason you can't get a screwdriver on it. There are two bolts at the base that hold the bowl to the block. I would replace the fuel lines while you are there so...

    Leak

The High Pressure Oil Rail End Plugs are common leakers on these things. They seal the HP Oil Rail passages in the heads on each end (2 plugs for each head, 1 at each end). They are about 2 inches in diameter with a 1/2" square-drive recess (perfect for a 1/2" flex-head ratchet to remove...

It could be anything from the seals on the fuel bowl (there are a few!), the hoses to the pump and tanks, the fuel pump (from the sounds of your leak they usually don't leak that bad), or even the fuel bowl itself (the bottom of the bowl can rot out). Cheers!

Question Stealer want $$$ for ICP connector - where for less?

That was for the repair connector (has 12" wire pigtail). Cheers!

Question Stealer want $$$ for ICP connector - where for less?

I come up with $48.49 from Tousley Ford Parts for 5C3Z-12224-A. Also saw one on ebay for $20, Buy-It-Now. Cheers!

    97 f250 ?

I can't comment on the 4x4 stuff as I've haven't wrenched on my 97's stuff yet (I'm in the process of redoing the front brakes now). The 97 OBS PSD's aren't really oddball. The problem is that they had the Light Duty 250's in that model year too. If you want a good manual for the truck...

    Glow Plug Relay

When the glowplugs are active (you have about 1.5 minutes after turning the key to Wait-To-Start ... ignore the WTS light as it has nothing to do with how long the plugs are actually on), measure the voltage between the two big terminals on the relay (one probe on one big post and one probe on...

    melted VC harness.... again

Hopefully when you replaced the UVCH before, you also replaced the valvecover gasket. A burned/scorched pin on the gasket can cause a high resistance connection that will cause heat and cause the problem. If you did replace the gasket, it could of just happened again as the pins and wires are...

    diesel in coolant

Diesel in the coolant can be cracked injector cup(s). I can point you to an excellent thread on another forum, but I'm not sure if that's allowed : "Fuel Injector cup replacement, Was FPR surprise" If they wack it, PM me and I'll get you the info. Cheers!

    3 in intakes

You will have to get rid of the factory fuel filter bowl (probably just go electric fuel system) if you still have it. Cheers!

    oil change

Since the regular engine lube oil is also use for the high pressure oil system that runs the injectors, I second the advice above. Some of the flush will remain in the HP oil system and may cause oil foaming or even injector damage. Cheers!

    Replacing injectors in a 96 F250

I the mechanic knows what he's doing he could remove the valvecovers and check the armature clearance on the injectors after removing the solenoids. I'm betting they'll be out of spec (less than 0.0015", I think ... mine were getting close at 250k). That's not even considering the other...

maybe i just dont know what the #@!& i am doin.

If you're still gatting the light after doing the above, drain some fuel from the bowl into a clear glass jar. Let it sit for awhile, if there's water in it you should see it separate out. Sometimes it will take a awhile (and a bunch of bowl drains) to get rid of it all. Cheers!

What do I need to upgrade to a 6.0 tranny cooler?

When I installed my Tru Cool Max, I had to adapt to the 5/16" lines at (near) the tranny. I have not been able to find the correct 3/8" adapters for the E4OD. I've never been able to find out if the SD tranny adapters would fit or not. The E4OD ports are kind of small and the return line...

    Small fuel leak ??

Another common leaker on OBS fuel systems is the Fuel Restriction Sensor. On early PSD's it was on the backside of the fuel bowl near the bottom. On the later ones it is on the fuel pressure regulator block. If that was it, you can plug it with a 1/8 NPT plug just don't overtighten and crack...

    need help for a friend

The orange boot between the breather adapter and the turbo was prone to ripping at the hose clamps. It is no longer available (hasn't been for a long time ... for good reason). Ford started selling an upgraded kit that contained the newer style black hose (much sturdier), new breather adapter...

    5spd tranny question

The white bushings (part number in my post above) can be replaced from the top. Just make sure to not let them drop into the transmission. Cheers!

Question FRP Spring - Available to purchase seperate?

Those are the numbers I have for just the spring. I've never bought just the spring, so I can't vouch for the correctness (they are same numbers as listed in the WIKI). Cheers!

Question FRP Spring - Available to purchase seperate?

These are the part numbers I have in my list: Fuel Pressure Regulator Spring (International) 1823643C1 (federal emissions; 94-98) (International) 1825854C1 (CA emissions; engine serial no. 201681-98) Cheers!

    John Wood Transmissions??

I've never heard anything bad about his transmissions. In all the years I've been on numerous Powerstroke forums, there are two E4OD shops mentioned in very high regard: Brian's Truck Shop (BTS) in Lead Hill Arkansas (probably the #1 guy on these trannies and closer to you ... can't go wrong...

question for the manual guys and autos i guess.......

The half pedal thing doesn't sound normal (I couldn'r explain why it might be that way), but all the numbers do. My truck really didn't have much on the top end either. The power seemed to flatten out fairly quickly. 3rd gear was probably the best overall. Cheers!

question for the manual guys and autos i guess.......

Except for the TPS voltages, everything sounds fairly normal to me. You could always try the mod to the TPS to get just a tad more voltage out of it (sorry I don't have a link to the mod). Do check the fuel pressure to see if it's dropping off at WOT. Cheers!

    Question Vibration above 2500RPM's?

Can you feel it with clutch in and standing still? It could be the flywheel. Remove the flywheel inspection cover and take a look at it (while you're at it, make sure that the inspection cover is not rubbing on the rear of the oil pan as it can wear right through it causing a leak ... common...
