Humor Decided to wash it myself

When I plan on doing an "all out cleaning," I usually take the whole day to do it. Wash, wax, clean the door jambs, vacuum, clean dash, leather and all vinyl areas, do the windows (inside & out) dress up the engine bay, polish wheels, shine up the tires, etc. About a 6 to 8 hour job...

    photos What's In Your Turbo?

I used the emory cloth and scuff pads on the vanes. I used the angle grinder and the reconditioning pads to clean the unison ring and around the exhaust side of the turbo. And yes, it did help with the overall performance of the turbo. It also helped that I put in a new VGT solenoid.

All I have is a DeWalt 4" grinder. It works well for lawn mower blades. We have some 5" that we use to "wheel or buff" out paint on cars.

Air Lift helper bags and compressor install

I have seen some installs where they made a mounting plate (flat piece of steel) and drill holes in it to match holes already in the frame (keeps you from having to drill new holes in the frame) and then they mount the compressor to the mounting plate.

    A few Questions..

I believe you are right. I'm not very good with the terminology. It's just like it was factory, but now with a catch can in the middle.

A new Gremlin showed up today.

Today while idling, my truck would rev on it's own about 50 to 100 RPM's above the normal idling and would do that up and down, up and down. It hasn't done it everytime, but enough for me to know that it has never done it before. Once even while in Drive with my foot on the brake. Any ideas?

    A few Questions..

This CCV kit that I have takes the fumes from the crank case down to the collection container and then returns back to the inlet just before the turbo. So the system is still pressurized.

    A few Questions..

I have a homemade CCV kit on my truck and it has worked really well. It returns air back to the turbo side but without the oily residue and it collects the oily residue in a catch can mounted on the frame.

I found the parts cheaper on ebay for the upper & lower ball joints for my niece's Explorer. It looks like the upper ball joints come already pressed into the upper A arm, so that is a good thing. I wouldn't have to worry about those and I could have the lower ball joints pressed in at our...

:lmao I put on some new shocks for my niece today on her 1998 Explorer 2WD. I thought it was going to be easy, but man :rant, it took me and my nephew about 4 hours to change all 4. The front wasn't to bad. Had to take off both tires, nothing out of the normal. We also had to replace the...
