    make sure you drain the new filter assembly to keep this from happening to the new one. I like to drain mine while the engine is running (mechanical pump is moving fuel) so the agitation of the fuel flow & engine vibrations help to clean out the gunk.

    nope only if you rev it up at idle the oil squirts from the injectors doesn't go everywhere and the oil from the rockers is not thrown. Been there done that trying to diagnose my injector problem using the screwdriver stethoscope method

    Unless you roll the box out I would be anchoring it to the floor to and the wall especially since the walls in most trailers do not do too well at supporting lateral loads.

    did you also replace the glow plugs, often when the UVC melts it is due to a failed GP that has shorted internally drawing more current than the wire/pin can handle.

    the answer is depends on the year and I'm guessing you are referring to 4wd trucks the early SD F250's got a funky dana 50 they look as big as a 60 but run a smaller carrier, ring gear & pinon, The F350's got Dana 60's. at some point I don't recall off the top of my head all F250/350 4wd trucks...
