    ABS for Fronts

Front ABS Isn't that what an ABS system is. A valve and a sensor that releases pressure when the wheel begins to skid?

Help! Fuel Pressure way to high

As it turns out, it was the filter at the bottom of the FPR. It is a wire mesh filter (cylinder about an inch long and as big around as a dime). It was very dirty and restricting the flow enough to build pressure. I replaced it and now pressure is back down around 75.

Help! Fuel Pressure way to high

I shimmed it with the BB. I did this a year ago and had consistently been running about 75psi. I took out the spring and the "plunger" that the bb goes in and put the brass plug back in just to check and the psi is still way over 100. So it is not the actual regulator spring that is holding...

Help! Fuel Pressure way to high

I took the whole housing off and cleaned out the inside very well. I took everything apart that I could and cleaned. The only restrictions that I seem to find are in the FPR screen and the plastic housing that it is attached to. Any thoughts??

Help! Fuel Pressure way to high

I have broken two filter caps. My fuel pressure is well above 100. My FPR is shimmed, has been for a year. This high pressure is new. I took the shim out, and in fact took out the spring and plunger. IT was empty and just put the cap back on to check. Still the same well over 100psi. I...

    97 7.3 no start

There is not white smoke, or any smoke for that matter. No CEL light and I think the batts are about 3 years old. I just had them tested about 1 month ago. They were ok. He did say the starter was drawing a fair amount while cranking. But within normal range. It seems to crank over fast and...

GPR is working. Crank it with no start. Tach is not moving but has slightly come of off the peg. Replaced the CPS , still nothing. Batteries are fully charged. Cranks over fine. Seems to be getting plenty of fuel. I checked the fuel going in and coming out of the return. Where can I get a...

    97 7.3 no start

Is there anyway that the CPS could affect the WTS start light and or the glow plug relay. IT seems that they would be independent of each other. But I am not getting any power at the GPR (to the Glow pug side)

    97 7.3 no start

I think the fuel heater has gone bad. With it unplugged it does not blow #22 fuse. Still cranks with nothing. The tach does not move at all when cranking. I can't see any visible bad wiring. I have checked the plugs and wires around the fuel filter.

    fuel gauge short

My fuel guage works intermittently, I try to do an ohm test on the sender but it always registers 0 (same as when both leads are touching). I think it is a short somewhere but just wanted to make sure the sender was working. Any thoughts on how to test a sending unit?
