Yep it's FPR, sorry. What is the EOT and 10k mod? I used the search engine on this site and nothing came up.

Thanks again for helping me to get up and running. The new injector harness's are in and working fine. As long as my hands are greasy, any other cheap modifications besides that IPR spring shim trick I can do to help it out?

It's back together and I fired it up last night. All is well so far. Now we'll see how it goes for a while. Thanks for the help.

I will be picking up or ordering the gasket today and putting it in as soon as I get my hands on it, then I will know. The wire through portion of the gasket was melted as well as the connector. It does seem as though more than one was shut down, the scanner only said wiring, cyl #2. My buddy...

When the injector or injectors were shorting, I could barely keep it running at all at 500rpm, floored it would barely move in reverse. When not shorting and producing the CEL it seemed to have plenty of power. I think i will take your advise though and unplug the EBPs anyway when i put it back...

The problem is solved. The front under VC harness was toast as well as the connector part of the gasket. Melted to look like cheese in the micro. It's a miracle it could run at all. Thanks Clem and fellow strokers.

Thanks, where would the exhaust pressure feedback sensor be? Dealer or AutoZone for that? i already have the new harness's.

codes My buddy just left with his scanner. Here are the results, two codes thrown. Exhaust pressure feedback sensor, and number two cyl injector wiring fault. That would be drivers side? The exhaust feedback sensor part shows bad all the time, the injector wiring fault is bad when problem...

The harness's are all clean, plugged in, and not burnt. Seems to be looking fuel or fuel pump related. It will be interesting to see what codes show up when my buddy gets here tomorrow with his scanner. Lets see, now i have a spare IDM, 2 new harness's. I guess I will stow away for a rainy day...

increased pressure Pulled it in the garage this morning and it was doing it's code and 1/2 power thing as usual. I realized i never pulled the VC harness's on the driver side to check. The back one that is is under the turbo tube had some caked on greasy looking crap on it which i sprayed with...

Hey Clem, Thanks for askin. My two under VC harness's came in. I thought I would pull it in the garage and unslip each connector, and use an ohmmeter between the pins, ( i assume top and bottom ) and if I get a big variance on any set i would start there, if that method would work. Someone...

fuel pressure I have no service manual, so I am assuming that would be taken on the side of the fuel pressure regulator. I guess there would be a gauge available somewhere for it? If it is too low, does that mean the regulator needs to be replacing or the fault lies back further?

not oil Just changed the oil to Rotellat 15w-40 and.... no change, still happening. Tried to see if I could smell burned wires in the oil fill hole. I couldn't really tell. Although when the new harness's come I will pull the valve covers to closely inspect. Clem, also tried unpluggin wire...

The oil makes sense. Never had a problem until the oil was changed. Knowing my tow guy, he put in whatever he has in the drum for his car changes. I will give it another shot. Thanks, I will let you guys know.

not back yet Well Clem, I thought we had it. 95F250 7.3 Auto4X4. Runs great, then check engine 1/2 power limp mode. Not IDM, CPS, IPS, unplugging map sensor did not change it. Closest we came was yesterday when I pulled the filter and cleaned the screen. Ran good I said "like a scalded ass dog"...

geeez somebody please After a great 3 or 4 hours of great running, I am sorry to say it is right back at it!! Check engine -1/2 power. I pulled the filter back out to check if screen was again plugged and I pulled very little out, probably just what I missed yesterday. If it sits for an hour...

Clem and Guys...pulled out the fuel filter and that screen was not even recognizable as a screen, plugged black. About a dozen cue tips later I clicked the key and its running like a scalded ass dog. Just plowed for about 3hours. Anybody want to buy an reprogrammed IDM and two under VC...

Thanks for the info....I have never changed the CPS, and not sure what he put in for oil, most likely what he buys in 55gal bulk. I had synthetic in it before he changed it.

    clean the screen

Where is the screen? Is the the screen part of the fuel injection pressure regulator? Or is it located near the filter housing or someplace else?. What is the easiest way to do it? I downloaded a schematic but I dont see a screen. It was suggested cleaning it may fix my problem. Thanks

Thanks Clem. Can I try to clean that FPR screen? Where is it? I think my batteries are good. I do suspect fuel related., It is about 10 degrees here today and it is hard to keep running, but I will try to get into my work building. It is sitting outside plugged in. The oil has about 200 miles...

95 F250 Auto Ext 4x4 7.3 Started out like this... no problems then check eng light on, drop down to like running on 1/2 power. 10 seconds seconds later, light off and back to normal. Frequency of this increased and lasting longer. Tried two different code readers that did not work, but went on...
