recall ruined my truck
that really sucks... you would think that by supporting the smaller dealers you wouldnt get jerked as much...but i guess theres a reason why the big dogs are on top... at any rate 65k is 65k no matter what stealer you go to...you should be taken care of with utmost respect and priority... seeing...- trailey97

Question R&R EGR Cooler and Oil Cooler
deffinately agree with mounting an exterior oil cooler... easier for in the future should it go out on you... when i deleted my egr cooler and valve i was one happy sob! truck put me on the side of the road a few times in louisiana while i was trying to get hom to texas...not cool!! youll be...- trailey97

starving for fuel???
ive done the egr delete. i dont think the pmt can read fuel pressure... just spoke to my mechanic on the phone (going to try and go over tomorrow to see him) he said it sounds like my coil packs have burned up and probably bc of my 58v ficm... i hope its not that, i boasted about the...- trailey97

05 with 110k on the clock, pmt with a 48v 40hp tuned ficm. go to accelerate medium to heavy and she seems to starve for fuel... fuel filters are new, less than 5k. not throwing any codes according to the pmt... need to try and get to my buddies to double check with his scan tool...- trailey97

No Start after ran out of fuel....
i know on the older cummins you have to pull a couple injectors...buuut thats a cummins. whats weird is my old PS 7.3 i ran that sucker out of fuel a bunch on back country roads and never had a problem restarting...sorry bud...if you are mechanical yank the back 2 injectors and see if you can...- trailey97

right on... well we have been in 90's quite a bit and even 100's but what gets us is the 150% humidity...lol right now i am dealing with a little bit of flooding, but compared to last year...i will not complain about the flooding and massive amounts of rain we are getting. we were on fire...- trailey97

if you are running a tuner, and your ficm needs replacing, i would reccommend upgrading to a 58v. they can do it to your factory one when they rebuild it. i bought one from swamps diesel for just under $700 and and only had a 2 day down time. mine also came with a 40hp tune on it.- trailey97

Question No start
had the same problem... unload your banks and then see if the truck starts. i have a pmt and i unloaded my pmt and my truck started right up, then i reloaded it and everything is still fine.- trailey97

front replacement
i know they are not the same... my grill guard off an 03 looks like it came made for my truck... the mounting on the bumpers are the same, my concern is the grill being to big... i may just have to take my bumper off and hold that one up to it and see...- trailey97

front replacement
probably answering my own question...buuuut, will a front replacement off a 99 fit an 05? i have a brush guard off an 03 on my 05 and all i had to modify with that was the tits that slide under the bumper had to be ground off. now the only problem i can think of with a replacement from a 99 is...- trailey97
