    front tire problem

If your bushings are worn out it will wear the insides, not the outsides. Take it back to the shop, bet they have the camber a little to positive. As for the steering wheel uncentered, no big deal, just turn each tie rod adjuster the same amount a little at a time to center it, steering wheel...

    Blowing white smoke

Thats what I was thinking to. Could have valve trouble in one cylinder so it won't fire, but will be putting raw fuel into the exhaust too. If an injector is messed up it can dump fuel too. Could be more than one too.

    windshield wipers

Maybe the first gen sd trucks, but I don't know for sure. I think the newer ones use a drive on the arm itself that is about 1" in diameter, ours looks to be half that or so. Why do you wanna change? I have had very good luck with the anco winter blades, so much that I usually try to buy an...

Lombardini in what? In a bike or a lawnmower? Lombardini made engines right?

    Just some thoughts

Same reasons I don't like em. Add to it I only weigh 160 lbs. 6'3", so I can get some leverage on big bikes, but I don't have enough weight to through em around if they aren't weighted right. It is pretty cool that I can sit as far up as I can get and they still have enough power to bring the...

    Just some thoughts

Honestly I don't really like raptors, probably more because I have ridden them, and I don't like how they ride, lots of power, but that alone doesn't make a quad, obviously or they wouldn't be coming out with a new yfz, but that is bitchin, pardon the french. the long arms and the treads give...

    Just some thoughts

They have had turbo quads on drag tracks for a long time, doesn't mean it can't be done again :) Got any pics of that turbo though? I don't most quads would ever spool it up. The link on the previous post is apples to oranges. The power on that bike comes from bazillion rpms of the crotch...

    Will this tranny fit

No, I think that they have different bolt patterns. Not to mention the major difference is gear ratios. Between gears the engine will fall on its face. Diesel trannies have to be closer ratio. Our max rpms are about 1/2 of a gasser. The gear ratios are completely off.

    Bad ipr OR harness

I don't have the part number anymore but when I replaced it, international had that two wire plug for the ipr with an 18 inch pigtail for 17 bucks or so. It is also the same as the injector plugs if you have any under valve cover harnesses laying around. Like rubberduck said, check the jam nut...

    Need a little help guys

Second that, thats were I was going, if you have no smoke check those wires, if they are touching, you will have no hpop pressure. It has to have something like 10 volts while cranking or the pcm wont fire the injectors, so if its cranking slow fix that first. If the truck has an open element...

    Motor cycle + running boards = 0

No kidding, his stupidty no doubt, but I still hope he's ok. As for the running boards there are several aftermarkets that are similar, but no exact enough to keep the passenger side, you are gonna have to swap em both out.

    Weird Fuel Gauge Issue....

The fuel senders have less ohms of resistance when full than empty if I remember right... IE about 20 ohms full and 120 or 130 empty. with that in mind I would say you have a wire shorted, or gauge is bad. Does it do it both tanks? Your fuel valve could be bad too, I think the switching of...

    injector orings

I wouldn't say safe, but if you aren't afraid to pull em and oring em later (I would think you could do it with you eyes closed by now) I would give it a shot. I wouldn't reuse any older hardened oring for sure, but 8k miles should be about the same as pulling em a putting em back in like you...

top end oil change.a.k.a hpop oil. video

If changing oil types aka syn or dino different weights maybe etc makes since, I did it when I swapped injectors and when I went to synthetic, but provided you maintain your oil changes like you should, the left over oil will be black as coal for sure, but it should have minimal effect on the...

    scorpion tuner????

169? wow. Not sure but that looks like a glorified 10k mod. Lookup 10k mod in search and read up on it. 5 dollars for the parts at radio shack. You could even put the same mod on a potentionmeter for about 15 bucks for parts......

    Waterpump went south

negative, but after the flush with some casting sand left even at 130k I am gonna invest in the dieselsite kit. Seems nice and buttoned up and I like how it mounts to the fw.

    Waterpump went south

Just thought I would add, once I got the old pump off I inspected it and found this. The inpeller was starting to eat into the w/p housing, and looked like it had been for a little while. It just started leaking however. SO thank God it leaked today, because if I would've drove it on home and...

    Power on 8% grade

Absolutely. @#$%^&* EPA. Bunch of liberal sissies. Now our diesel cost more than gas because of ulsd, and the mileage is less. I still swear I am down by atleast 3 mpg since ulsd took over. I used to make 18-19 EVERY day. Now I am doing very good to make 15-16. GRRRRRRRR. Don't even want...

What's the labor rates in your areas?

Well, looked at another shop today for 90k. It is six bay, metal truss, some insulatioin, has metal inside to 8 ft, a bathroom, and has power and water, but both are just there, need ran. It is atleas two bays deep from the doors, maybe 3. I would have to partition it to be able to afford to...

    Waterpump went south

Well, went and looked at another shop to start a repair biz in today at lunch. Stopped to get a bite and smelled coolant and noticed a spot under the truck when I got back in. When I got back to work I pulled it into the shop and pressure tested it. HOLY LORD!! w/p was dumping coolant like...

What's the labor rates in your areas?

Yep, just looked around there earlier today :) On your job, Farmington had a man dept director job open up a couple years back, I checked into it, but back then I thought "the pay sucks." Looking at it now, I could have done that and done my own shop on the side.... o well hindsights like thay...

What's the labor rates in your areas?

Rick, I wish you lived closer, you are the kind of guy I would want to partner with. I am not focusing on labor rate, just feel I need a concensus standpoint on what is fair. I was a service manager for going on 3 years, I left, I didn't get the can, I now work in the same shop again, only as...

What's the labor rates in your areas?

Wow, the varible rate thing is absolutely the most absurd thing I've ever heard. That would put in the customers mind that if the business doesn't even trust him as much as the next guy why should I? The dumbest thing I've ever heard. Now the gas, or diesel variation to me makes perfect...
